从西宁出发，一路翻越大阪山，进入祁连山腹地。进入到连接青海与甘肃的祁连大草原，在草原的北侧，海拔3700米左右的山坳中，坐落着一座安静而又祥和的小镇—俄堡古镇。

Starting from Xining and climbing over Daban Mountain, we enter the interior of Qilian Mountain where there is Qilian Prairie. In the north of the prairie there is a quiet and peaceful town, Ebu Town, located in a col with the altitude of 3,700 meters.

俄堡又名俄博，得名于蒙古人的敖包。敖包的最早的功能就是用来指路，以免路人在茫茫的草原中迷失方向。久而久之，就堆出一个集市来。

Ebu, also named Ebo, is named after Oboo of the Mongolians. The earliest function of Oboo is to show way in case that strangers may get lost in the prairie. Little by little, a market takes form.

西汉时期，河西走廊打通，峨堡镇是丝绸之路南线上的最重要集镇。西汉时期的峨堡镇，店铺林立，中西方客商们在此地交流。西汉政府在此驻军，保护来往的商人。

In the West Han Dynasty Hexi Corridor was able to get through and Ebu Town became an important town in the south rout of the Silk Road. The town was full of shops and businesses and guests and businessmen communicated here in the West Han Dynasty. The government of the West Han Dynasty set army here to protect businessmen passed by.

在此后的历史中，俄堡镇不仅扮演着商业重镇的角色，同时也是战略要塞，多次成为西域各政权与中原王朝争夺的对象.

In the following history, Ebu Town not only played a key business part but also became a strategic fortress struggled by the regimes of the Western Regions and the Central Plains.

经历过无数的摧毁和重建，俄堡不但没有消失在历史的长河中，反而越来越繁华。来自世界各地的人们一次次从废墟上重建这座古镇。

Witnessing countless destroys and reconstructions, Ebu Town does not disappear in the history river. Instead, it becomes more and more prosperous. People from all over the world rebuilt this ancient town again and again on the ruins.

俄堡城的遗址位于峨堡镇东侧的一个山坡上,整座城保存完整。漫步于古城之中，耳畔时而回响起阵阵驼铃声，时而又是金戈铁马的厮杀声。

The ruins of Ebu Town are located on a slope in the east of the town and the ruins are entirely kept. Strolling in the old town, we seem to hear the ring of camel bells sometime and in another time the sound of fight on horses.
