Teaching aims:

1. Help the Ss have some information of the present jobs.

2. Important language points

3. Develop the Ss' ability of reading comprehension.

点评：教学目标指预先指定的、在一定时间内学生学习的效果或学习活动要达到的标准，是课堂教学的出发点和回归点，教学目标的制定是否准确清晰，直接影响着教学环节的设计，制约着教学活动的展开，并最终指向教学任务的完成。所以，制定有效的教学目标对我们提高英语课堂教学效率起着至关重要的作用。本节课的教学目标的设计主要存在“行为主体错位”的问题：教学目标的行为主体应该是学生，评价的标准应当是学生的发展，而不是教师是否完成了预定的教学任务。

应改为：

1. The students can have some information of the present jobs.

2. The students can learn important language points

3. The students can develop the  ability of reading comprehension.

Teaching procedures:

Step1: Basic knowledge revision.

1.At 3,500 metres, La Paz, in Bolivia, is the highest capital in the world. Life is hard ___  high altitude (在高海拔地区).

建议一：师生声音要洪亮，教师饱满的热情才能感染学生。

建议二：学生填空后可以领着学生再归纳一下重点短语的用法。如in bad condition,on average,in theory等。

点评：上面的三个练习均是针对课本的三个段落设计的问题，学生答后效果不错。如果能够给学生些许时间让他们把正确的句子以及填空后的内容在进行阅读或者复述，学生对文章的理解会更到位。可惜，没能给学生时间。如果第三个填空练习再对句子进行以下句式的变式训练，对学生思维力训练的程度会更高。
