歌曲来源及背景:
        1910年《Camp and Camino in Lower California》中有类似歌曲，不过词有些出入：

 歌曲名为"Spider Song":

Oh, the blooming, bloody spider went up the spider web,

The blooming, bloody rain came down and washed the spider out,

The blooming, bloody sun came out and dried up all the rain,

And the blooming, bloody spider came up the web again.

       配曲用的是德国儿歌Spannenlanger Hansel的曲调。

首先这首童谣是为手指操创作的。孩子用手指模仿蜘蛛爬行，边歌唱边做手指操，这样可以提高孩子手指灵活性、协调性。 这首歌另个众所周知的版本是《 Incy Wincy spider》!再以前的来源就不可考了。 歌词与手势配合如下：

       源自itty （little幼儿发音) -bitsy，意思是"charmingly small“。
