17.The ISM Code required preventive maintenance schedules. How do you make your maintenance schedules?

According to the ISM Code, the preventive maintenance plan is made based on the ship’s “Planned Maintenance System” and the machinery running hours records. This plan should be made on an annual basis(or a five-year basis). Usually, the monthly maintenance schedules are made based on the annual preventive maintenance plan and the basic occasional maintenance work.
根据ISM规则,预防维护计划是基于船舶的“PMS”和机械运转时间记录来制定的。这个计划应该是在年度或五年基础上来制定的。通常月度维护计划是基于年度预防维护计划和非经常性发生的工作来制定的。
18.What is the purpose of the ISM Code? What is DPA in ISM Code?
ISM 规则的目的是什么?ISM规则中DPA是什么意思?
The purpose of this Code is to provide an international standard for the safe management and operation of ship’s of ships and for pollution prevention.
DPA stands for Designated person(s) Ashore. His responsibility includes monitoring safety, pollution prevention aspects on behalf of the shipowner.
ISM 规则的目的是提供针对船舶安全管理和操作以及防污染的一个国际标准。
DPA的意思是;岸上的指定人员。他的职责是代表船东负责防污染,安全操作方面的事务。
19.What does DOC imply?
DOC 表示什么?
DOC stands for “Document of Compliance”. The marine shipping company should establish and maintain procedures to control all documents and data which are relevant to the SMS. Each ship should carry on board all documentation relevant to that ship.
DOC 表示符合文件。船舶公司应该建立和维护程序去控制所有与SMS有关的文件和数据。每条船都应该携带与本船相关的所有文件。
20.What is SMC?
SMC 表示什么?
轮机工是轮部的第一把手,也是船上仅次于船长的重要管理人员。实践表明,没有很好的轮机长是很难保证船舶的安全的。目前,世界主要船队的船舶老化问题相当严重,而要保证大龄船舶的营运安全,没有很好的轮机班子是很难实现的。因此,船东在面试船员时轮机长往往是他们考核的重点。特别是东南亚的很多船东公司,他们对轮机长的考核从技术到管理,每一环都很严格。对轮机工的经验、技术和解决实际问题的能力尤其相当重视。我们认为,轮机长不但要有丰富的经验、灵活的头脑,也要有很好的管理能力和团队工作精神,只有这样,才能管好轮机班子,才能和船长以及甲板部的管理工作配合好。
另外,经验表明,相对船长和甲板部队的人员而言,轮机工的英语相对稍弱一些,希望在业余时间下苦功练习英语听力和写作。面试时主要是看你的听力理解,而在国外船上干时主要是做一些英文的确PAPER WORK, 另一方面,随着ISM的生效和强制实施,PSC检查和EXTRA AUDIT方面的审核都要求一定的听力和书写方面的能力。
下面的一些问题不但有技术方面的,也有很多是管理方面的,请轮机长在阅读时能举一反三,联想到其他船东可能考到的问题。

I have experience with several different types of main engines, such as Sulzer, B&W, MAN, PC etc.

First, I think it is very important for a Chief Engineer to be skillful and proficient at work. Second, he should maintain good management in the engine department. Third, he should be able to try to motivate every person under his management by assigning jobs fairly among them. Fourth, he needs to be good in English and language communication. Last, it is very important for a Chief Engineer to maintain good relationship with the Master, the technical superintendent and other personnel from company, First Engineer and the Chief Officer. Above all, he should listen to orders from the Master in most cases.
轮机长不是船上的轮机总工程师,也是仅次于船长的重要的管理人员。因此,在做好自己技术工作的同时,更应该考虑如何做好管理工作。轮机长和船长的配合也是非常关键的。上面的答案仅供参考。

For your reference: for a 10000HP main engine, the consumption rate of fuel oil could be roughly 20~25 tons per day, cylinder oil about 280~310 liters per day (depending on the engine type).
The duty engineer should check to see if the consumption is normal. The Second Engineer usually is responsible for checking the fuel oil and recording the figures in the Engine Log Book. Lube oil should be checked on every duty watch. The Chief Engineer is responsible for application of the supplies of lube oil and fuel oil.

I should make a bunkering plan firstly according to the ship owner’s instructions and then report the plan to the Master for approval.
Secondly, a bunkering meeting should be held to specify the responsibilities of crew during the procedure.
Thirdly, preparations of the following like plugs, extinguishers, drums, alarms, communication means, and fuel oil system graphics (drawing) should be made.
1、三管轮的职责是什么?
(1)负责甲板机械(如起锚机、绞缆机和起货机)和油水分离器、焚烧炉的日常维护。
(2)负责锅炉、舱底污水泵、压载泵、通用泵、日用水泵、卫生水泵、燃油舱(柜)管理。
(3)负责锅炉、主机冷却淡水的化验及处理。
(4)具体负责燃油、污油、污水的管理。

2、辅锅炉点不着火时,通常先检查什么部件,怎样检查?
通常先清洁喷油嘴、点火电极、供油滤网、火焰探测器,重新调整电极的相对位置,再试点火看有否火花。进一步可再检查布风器是否脏堵,风油比例是否调整正确,回油电磁阀是否动作,燃油循环温度是否正常,油压力是否足够。
3、添加燃油时三管轮应做哪些工作?怎么做?
装油前准备工作:
(1)测量所有的油舱存油量,同品种(或同一次添加的)燃油尽量“并舱”,以减少混油,报轮机长以拟定加油计划表(C/E);
(2)必要时将需加注的油舱,通风透气帽拆开,清洗通风滤网;
(3)检查加油管系上各阀门是否处于正常的开关状态;
(4)按照《加油检查清单》逐项确认;
(5)准备好防污器材、消防器材、取油样器、压力表、温度计必要的拆装油管工具和告示牌等;
(6)检查甲板上所有接油槽、泄水孔是否已堵好,检查加油管另一侧盲板密封情况;
(7)准备必要的通讯设备及照明货灯(夜间加油时)。
装油时工作:
(1)确认连接好油管,与加油船确认联络信号及应急措施;
(2)到油驳上测量所有油舱油位、油温及油驳的前后吃水,确认数量,抄下流量表读数,用试水膏进行试水;
(3)按轮机长审定的油种添加顺序和燃油注舱顺序添加燃油。对存有燃油的油舱加油前,先对该舱燃油预加温。
(4)勤量油,密切注意通风帽的排气状况,不断调整泵油速度,特别注意转舱控制(一般在80-85%时转舱最为合适);
(6)如果加油加得较满(90%或以上),要密切注意吃水差的变化避免溢油。
(7)做好油样提取工作(点滴取样、全过程取样),双方签字确认;
(8)装完油,拆管前需进行AIR-BLOW以防加油管内剩油溢出,
二三管轮电站操作
一、船舶主配电板:
1. 船舶发电机控制屏、并车屏、负载屏的组成及其功用
1、发电机控制屏主要是由电压表、电流表、功率表、功率因数表等测量仪表及其转换开关、指示灯、发电机主开关、发电机继电保护装置、调速开关(本主配电板中设在并车屏上)、发电机励磁装置等部分组成。
