这场“Sixth
1.
I like all the talks about six sense. I have seen a talk about the
Six Sense and I like it very much. That presenter is this
presenter’s student. They observed the same thing. Her student
shows the result and she introduces it. I like this invention very
much because it can help us a lot. For example, when we first meet
a person, we can know information of him/her on their T-shirt! That
is interesting. And I can take pictures by my figures. That is much
easier than using the camera. And it is not very expensive. Anyway,
a great invention.

Today, I watched a TED talk called Patty Maes demos the Sixth
Sense. A student of the speaker Patty Maes had developed something
really genius. That tiny thing is really small; it can be hung onto
someone’s neck, but it can do incredible things. For example, if
you want to buy something, you can use the small machine to check
the quality of goods, and the comments of books. The small machine
can even be used to check if you are late for your flight. It is
just so amazing! And it is also not too expensive- 350 dollars. If
this electronic product is used in our life, it will become obvious
that it will make us life more convenient. In addition, I think
that creativity is important for our life. If we imagine something
which can be useful in our life, we may work hard to develop that
thing, and our dream can come true. So doctrines are not that
advisable sometimes, and we need imagine-to create things which is
good for all people.

I know now that we only have five senses, how come the sixth? That
was my all time question when I first looked at my homework. Do you
know iphone or ipad or something like that, they have these wi-fi
so you can get on the internet without connecting on the wire. That
is probably like the sixth sense, you can search about everything
and it gives you a lot of details. I think the most extraordinary
thing about the sixth sense that Pattie Maes talked about is that
it can take pictures without using a camera at all, just your
fingers to make an rectangle and it takes a shot. This is the work
of an genies.

This demo -- from Pattie Maes' lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav
Mistry who is the MIT Media Lab postdoctoral -- is a perfect
professional demo. At the beginning of the demo, Pattie Maes gave
us some examples about the Sixth Sense device. Then she shows the
magical device to us by the short video of Pranav Mistry. It can
take pictures by a special gesture and project all the picture
which have taken, and resize them, and organize them using all
natural actions. It can also use as markers and can give you
informatios about whatever is in front of you. It is only 350
dollars now!

I even don’t understand what sixth sense is before I watched this
talk. Our school television has talked about the sixth sense
machine which is mentioned in this talk but I don’t fully
understand it. When I watched this talk I learn some things about
the sixth sense machine. It really makes me excited because there
are a plenty of high technology in it. It can represent the wisdom
of the scientists and make our life become convenient. I think the
scientists are intelligent because they can invent such wonderful
equipment so that we don’t need to use the internet to find
information.

This week, I watched a ted talk about the sixth sense. First, I am
going to introduce the first five senses, they are smelling,
viewing, touching, speaking and tasting. The sixth sense is said
that can help us know things from an objective perspective, to help
us make the right decision. I am going to analyze some advantage of
the devise. First, it is small, and is convenient to be carried.
Second, it can get us a lot of practical knowledge and help us make
the right decision. Third, it can be operated by gestures which are
really great. I hope this devise will be used by us in a short
time; it will make our life more colorful and
convenient.
