从我第一次看到印好的《英语，儿子“教”我学》这本书到今天大约有一个月了。这一个月里，我每天都在收到来自面对面、手机短信、邮件、博客、微博对本书的评价，让我无比感动。但是我同样关心一些不同的声音，比如来自当当网购书者的评论。开始我一直不敢看，上周末因为要准备签售会的讲话，为了更好地了解现场朋友可能有什么样的疑问，我才登录了当当。看到将近150条评论中，只有一条是不推荐（但我一看，发现可能是读者点错了，因为评论是“不错”），七条是“一般”，其他都是“推荐”。我认真阅读了七个“一般”的评论，它们都表达了共同的观点，就是我儿子的成长经历不能复制，因为他有半年去英国的经历，因为他有一个英语教授妈妈,所以复制的可操作性不强。这两点在儿子英语成长的过程中绝对功不可没，但我并不认为它们是必要条件。

    就拿写作来说，我觉得儿子爱上写作，有天生的兴趣，但触发他的事件是他八岁时在英国学校的写作大赛项目。那个学校那一个学期就让孩子们写了一篇故事，但是过程是写了改，改了写，最后让孩子们配上自己画的插图，设计成书的形式，打印出来，并且全校举行仪式，邀请儿童作家，铺上红地毯，给孩子们一个一个地发书。儿子还获了奖。这样的激发孩子怎么能不受用？它的可复制性不在于这个场景，而在于它所传达的教育理念，这和是不是在英国或者是否有个英语教授妈妈无关。

    孩子是超越我们想象的，我们需要的是给他们一次关注，给他们一个舞台，信任他们，鼓励他们，让他们发光。“我不懂英语，所以…”这不能成为我们将自己置身于孩子英语教育之外的理由。我坚持这样的观点：做好孩子英语教育的领路人，不需要我们懂英语，只需要我们懂英语教育。

    我在北外青少带过两期有氧读写课程，都是小学生，绝大多数没有出过国，没有英语教授妈妈，就十次课，照样写出了好几百字的精彩英语故事。

    我的同事把这本书拿回家，她9岁的女儿看了以后说，我也能写这样的小说，结果十一在家里赶也赶不出去，写了一篇500字的英语故事，分章节，还配插图，有模有样。妈妈很是高兴，说没有想到这本书成了一本孩子的励志书了。我也没有想到，但这不是很好吗？就请大家欣赏这个有着美丽的名字的小女孩月月Moon写的故事吧。月月加油！月月妈妈请乘胜追击，坚持不懈！

A Book about the Jungle

Chapter 1

A Baby in the Woods

     One warm summer evening, a man-cub walked in the forest. He didn’t have father and mother.

     There are many wolves living in the forest, they’re good wolves. They wanted the man-cub to be their son. There was a tiger living in the forest too. He wanted the man-cub for his dinner! The father wolf hit the tiger, and the tiger went away.

Chapter 2

The Monkey people

     The man-cub grew up, and became a young man. A bear wanted the man to be his son. The wolf gave the boy to the bear. The bear loved his son, but the boy didn’t like the bear. The bear taught him some Jungle Laws. He didn’t like the Jungle Laws, but he wanted to play with the monkey. The bear said,“ The monkeys are bad, you can’t play with them.

     One day the monkey took the boy to a new forest. The bear knew it, he told snake Kaa, the monkey didn’t like the snake. They went to the new forest, they ate and hit the monkey. Suddenly, they heard a noise: “Help me! Help me! It is so dark!” “It’s the boy!”, they shouted. The bear gave the son back to the wolves, they were very happy together.

Chapter 3

The tiger was coming

    When he became a man, the mother wolf told him, the tiger was coming! The father wolf said, “You are a man, you are cleverer than us. You can buy some fire, it will make all the animals scared.” He went to the village and bought the fire. He stood on the rock and shouted: “I’m here little tiger, I will kill you!” The tiger walked to the man, and said, “Let me have a look, who is the king of the jungle.” The man took the fire out, the tiger ran away. “You are the winner”, the wolves shouted, “We love you!” They were so happy.

Chapter 4

I want to live with other people

     The man wanted to live with other people, he told this to the mother wolf. She said, “Yes, you can!” He went to the village the people looked at him, for he looked so different from other people. Then they friendly gave some food to him, let him know how to eat, and how to wear coat, and he was so happy.

Chapter 5

The tiger died

       One day the man saw the tiger! The tiger was waiting for him. The man looked around. He saw many cows, and he told the cows what happened. The cows hit the tiger’s head, and the tiger died. The man made a coat of the tiger’s feather, and went back home. He took his coat for his little brother. The man said: “I’m not a wolf, we can live together happily every day!”
