儿子2010年春节“巨著”"The Middle-earth 1 -- the Gold Mystery" (《中土世界－－黄金之谜》)现已完成五个章节，3773字，他说故事才开头，刚刚召集好了超自然的军队，战斗尚未开始。【我希望他这个故事能够有个结尾，因为他有一个习惯，那就是写了很多故事的开头，但从来写不到结尾就放下了。】。我把他的这篇“巨著”称之为山寨版《魔戒》，因为其中很多情节与他刚刚看过的魔戒三部曲类似。我将经过我和他一起修订（主要是更改了一些时态不一致的错误）后的成稿一一发表在博客上，不是为了恭维他的想象力或者英语写作能力，只是想把他的成长记录下来。我觉得不要说过一年，就是过一天，也许他都不会再拥有这样的创作激情和想象力，以及勇敢的英文胆量，我要把这瞬间留下，并与你分享。

   Chapter 1

It was in the second world of Middle-earth, a world which was written in the story books for million times. So I am also going to write about this.

Mary, Elisabeth, Edwards and William were brothers and sisters. They live in Millong. Millong was a city in Middle-earth. It was built on a mountain. The rich people lived on the top and the poor people lived at the foot of the mountain. Millong belonged to the Clesiney Kingdom.

One day, Mary and her sisters and brothers were playing in a forest. They walked so long and so they were lost. They saw a hut and they started to feel afraid.

“It is becomingcold here,” said William, “I bet that we should go back.”

Suddenly, a half-man-half-goat came out of the hut.

“Don’t walk here. It’s dangerous! Come in, it is safe here,” he said.

They came in the hut. They saw two people sitting ina chair.

“I am Ationythi,” said the half-man-half-goat, “this is Ludis and this is Titan.”

“Who are you?” asked Titan.

“I am Elizabeth, she’s Mary, he’s William and he’s Edwards,” said Elizabeth, “we come from Millong.”

“What’s you surname?” asked Titan.

“Athantik,” said Mary.

“Athantik?” repeated Titan.

“Are you a descendant of King Cyrano?” asked Ationythi.

“I don’t know, but who is…”asked William.

“He was the last king of Sidem Kingdom. Cyril was his great grandfather,” said Ludis.

“But we don’t…” moaned Edwards.

“I will tell you,” said Titan, “it is not Clesiney Kingdom here, and you are in another country now. You are now in Dormer Kingdom. A great man called Mondrian made a bangle. The person who wears the bangle will live forever but if the bangle falls off from the arm of the person who holds it, the person will die. Mondrian lived for 1000 years. His student, Sandor, had stolen the bangle. He built a tower and used his magic to make a stone. The stone was called “The Braun Stone”; the stone was made from gold. The stone was a powerful stone. It could make a large army of darkness. Sandor used the stone to control Middle-earth. 1000 years later, Humans and elfs allied to attack Sandor. Sandor used his army to fight. The king of Sidem, Cyrano the Eleventh used the King’s Sword to fight Sandor. Sandor was badly injured by Cyrano. 3 years later, his hand was cut by Cyrano in another battle. But he didn’t die, because he became a part of the bangle. So he killed Cyrano using the bangle, and Cyrano’s son ran away from Middle-earth. Sandor hid into a box. 300 years later, he came out. He put on his bangle. He was very weak. He was just a shadow of evil. He went to his tower. He hid in the deep ground and absorbed the evil fire. 5000 years later, he became strong. He put on his armature and destroyed the nearby cities, and now he controls this kingdom, too. He has given our king, Bruhord, a piece of gold and the piece of gold controlled him. And Ludis is his son.”

“The army of Sandor, which was called orcs, was looking for me, so we built a hut. The ocrs cannot see the hut,” said Ludis, “but I think that you four might be …”

“Might be what?” asked William.

“Who is your father?” asked Titan.

“He’s Cabinda,” said Edwards.

“You four are the king of Sidem!” yelled Ludis.

“But why…” asked Mary.

“Cabinda, we are looking for him in these places. He is a descendant of Cyrano!” said Ationythi.

“Don’t shout too much. I have heard the sound of ocrs,” whispered Titan.

“Ok, my lord, who is the oldest?” asked Ludis.

“Elisabeth,” said William.

“Ok, Queen Elisabeth, I bet you should go to the capital, Minadusidy,” said Ludis.

“No, Lord Ludis, they all need to go there,” said Titan.

“But we don’t have many horses!” said Ludis.

“No, no, no. We have a dragon,” said Titan, “the king of dragons, dragon Thebes, your owner is here, come!”

“Why don’t you tell me?” said Ludis, “Thebes, the king of the dragons.”

“Climb up to the dragon’s back!” Titan yelled.

Then Titan got on the dragon’s back.

“Come up, the orcs are coming!” yelled Titan.

They all came up to the dragon’s back.

“Thebes, fly!” yelled Titan.

They started to fly. They went out of the forest.

“Who are you?” asked Mary.

“I am the praetor of Sidem, son of Bromises,” said Titan, “don’t look down, you will be scared!”

“No! The orcs are coming to Millong!” yelled Mary.

“What!” shouted Elisabeth, “My father was there!”

“Don’t worry, I will help you!” yelled Titan, “Thebes, kill these orcs!”

“No!” yelled Edwards.

“Father!” shouted Elisabeth.

“No!” yelled Titan, “he shouldn’t die!”

An orcs killed Elisabeth’s father because he stopped him to get in the city.

“Pick up his body,” said Titan.

The orcs saw the dragon and they all ran away.
