2020研究生考试已经结束，那么该如何准备复试呢？在复试中老师常问什么问题？该如何回答？针对以上问题，老师给大家整理了MTI复试中常考的问题，以便大家更好的准备。

一、开场问题

1.What can you tell me about yourself?

2.Would you please make a brief introduction about yourself?

自我介绍应包含开场白，如:Good morning/afternoon. I am very glad (pleased/happy)/it is my great pleasure to be here for this interview. …或Firstly,I would like to express my thanks for all of you to give me this chance/opportunity to present myself. Well, …开场白的存在是一种礼仪，也是引起话题的有效途径，所以不能省略。

除了开场白，最重要的是说明你的个人情况，包括:中英文姓名，专业，毕业院校。自我介绍2-3分钟，如:My name is … and I graduated from the college of …in …university. My major is…或I have got the bachelor degree in …(major)from the university of… in (year)，也可以是I have been studying …(专业名) in the university of … now my undergraduate learning life is ending and I will get the bachelor degree in this June or may be July.

除此之外，也可以聊一下你的性格，爱好，特别是你的亮点等话题。当然不用太长，每个话题两到三句，也不用面面俱到，可选其中一个话题或是两个话题就可以了。

解答:此题重在语音、语调的准确，语法、词汇正确，其实最重要的是全程的流畅度。当然，要注意，你的每一条信息都可能是你自己给自己挖的“坑”，所以，要有“填坑”，也就是被追问的思想准备。

二、自由问答题

提问环节10-12分钟。面试官可能问和你学习生活有关的问题，但是也可能问和你专业相关的问题。常问问题可能有几下几种:

1) 家乡篇:

1.Where do you come from?

2.Tell me something about the customs of your hometown.How do you like it? why?

解答:此题要突出家乡美的特点，细节决定成败，忌泛泛而谈。

2) 家庭篇:

1.Could you tell us something about your family?

2.What does your family usually do for the weekend?

3) “最”字问题:

1. What impressed you most when you were at university?

2. What kind of tutor do you like best?

3. What is the best university in your opinion?

4. Could you describe the teacher who influence you most ?

5. In your opinion, what is the most serious problem associated with modern life?

解答：尽量表达对母校、老师感激之情，还有在大学四年学习到的有用的知识和相关专业技能。

Eg:

Shandong  University  of  Technology  was  founded  in  1956  and  was  one  of  the  first  public  colleges  certified  to  confer  the  bachelor's  degree  by  China  's  Department  of  State.  The  university  is  under  the  direct  leadership  of  the  Shandong  Provincial  Government  and  is  located  in  Zibo  city  where  the  ancient  and  profound  Qi  culture  originated.  The  number  of  the  students  is  40000  now。She  is  an  engineering-oriented  school.

4) 未来篇:

1.Will you say something about your past working experience?

解答:如果尚未开始工作，就可以回答“Right now I'm still a student.”(现在我还是个学生。)或者说“I am a recent grad and I haven't started working yet.”(我刚刚毕业，还没有开始工作。)

Eg:

I  have  been  employed  to  a  translation  company  after  graduation  from  my  college,  and  my  main  task  is  to  do  some  translation  and  edition  works.  After  having  whetted  my  skills  at  a  translation  agency  for  some  time,  I  find  that  the  time  has  come  for  me  to  deepen  my  study  in  this  field.

2.What are your plans in the postgraduate study?

3.What are your plans after graduation ?

4.Would you like to be doing within five years after graduation?

解答:此题要彰显对翻译专业发自肺腑的热爱，对未来切实可行，而非好高骛远的规划。

5) 报考学校、专业篇:

1.Why do you choose to study at our institute/university?

2.Why do you choose this major?

3.Why do you change your major?

解答:特别是跨专业考生，此题被问及的可能性高，需要注意准备。这似乎是个简答的问题，但是此处却有几个陷阱：你是否对你的专业不感兴趣，没有努力去学它;你是否是让其他人帮你选择专业或所从事的研究领域的。两个方面都会让你看起来缺少坚强的性格和缺乏兴趣或你没有足够的兴趣找到你自己的研究领域。如果是这样的话，要尽力补救。如果表明你是由别人建议所选择这个专业的，那就说明你并不是一个有独立思考的合格研究生。对于研究生所报专业与本科不同的考生来讲，最好把为何跨专业报考在自我介绍表述清楚，即使不说考官也会后续涉及到。可以表达自己对翻译的热爱和情感，再加上对贵校浓厚学术氛围的向往！

eg：

At  school  I  was  interested  in  biology  and  did  well  at  it.  So  when  I  applied  for  my  major  at  university  this  seemed  the  most  appropriate  subject  to  choose.  However,  since  then  I  have  discovered  that  I  am  more  interested  in  translation.  Therefore  I  decided  to  work  as  hard  as  I  could  at  translation  and  do  some  additional  courses  in  the  postgraduate  period  to  prepare  myself  for  work  in  this  field.

4. Why did you take the MTI examination?

5.  Would you please say something about the currently MTI program in China?

6.Why do you choose our University to study MTI? Tell me a little about our University from your understanding.

解答：此题可说说对于翻译的热爱，对于院校或者某位老师的研究。

Will you translate the following words/sentences for us?

解答:此题属于实践题，英汉互译都有可能。其中术语、专有名词、固定词组是定番组合。

1.Will you give us a definition of translation?

2.Do you know some theories/ standards/methods of translation?

3. Please talk about a translated works/book on translation that you have read.

4.Please talk about a translated works/book on translation that you have read.

解答:以上三道题是理论题，运用自己知识储备解答，可举例说明。每个院校导师常会问你认识哪些翻译大家及他们的作品，这也是每个学翻译的童鞋必备知识，所以大家需要整理出耳熟能详的几位中国翻译家的材料，如：林纾、鲁迅、董乐山、朱生豪等等。

Eg:

许渊冲是当代中国著名的翻译家。许渊冲从事文学翻译几十年间，许渊冲把众多中国经典和诗词曲赋翻译成英语、法语介绍到国外，使世界了解了《西厢记》《牡丹亭》《长生殿》《桃花扇》，体会到唐诗、宋词、元曲的精妙，领悟到《诗经》《楚辞》《论语》《老子》中的内涵，已出版中英法译著120余部。2010年，许渊冲获得中国翻译协会颁发的“翻译文化终身成就奖”。

许先生著名的“三美”原则可译为：Three  Beauties  Principle  “音美”，“意美”，“形美”可以译为：the  beauty  in  sense,  sound  and  form或者是beauty  of  phonology,  beauty  of  formality  and  beauty  of  style
