目前，广告到处都是。一些人认为这改变人们的想法，并且给人们的生活带来不好的影响。我完全同意这个观点。

Currently, advertisements are everywhere. Some people think thatthis changes people’s minds and affects people’s lives in a negative way. I completely agree with this point of view.

第一，人们曾经关注商品质量和材质，而现在他们更看重商品的名气。很多不在广告上花钱的老牌子失去了客户，这导致破产。相比之下，大多数赢得市场的公司，每年不得不在广告活动上花费大笔的钱。这可能造成产品研究上花费较少。除此之外，年轻顾客往往购买他们偶像使用的东西。即使一些产品质量差还贵，粉丝们依旧购买。他们生活经验少，很容易被广告里的特效或名人的话洗脑。

Firstly, people used to care about products’ quality and materials, whereas now they care more about the popularity of goods. Many old brands that do not invest money in advertising lose customers, which leads to bankruptcy. By contrast, most companies that win the market have to spend a large amount of money on advertising campaigns every year. This might cause less spending on product research. In addition, young customers tend to buy what their idols are using. Even some products are low-quality but sold at high prices, fans still purchase them. With little life experience, they are easily brainwashed by the special effects or celebrities’ words in advertisements.

第二，广告是过度消费的主要原因。大多数的广告很诱人，而且广告语容易记。看过后，顾客可能冲动购买这些产品。冲动消费可能导致顾客的经济问题。他们的信用分数将下降如果他们不能及时还债。一些背着重债的年轻人被讨债公司骚扰。他们无法过正常的生活。

Secondly, advertising is the main cause of overconsumption. Most advertisements are tempting, and advertising slogans are catchy. After watching them, customers are likely to buy the products impulsively. Impulsive purchases could cause financial problems for customers. Their credit scores will drop if they are unable to pay off their debt in time. Some young people in heavy debt are harassed by debt collection companies. They cannot live a normal life.

最后，一些广告是骗人的。他们强调好处，但绝对不提副作用或者产品的真实材料。用了这些低质量的产品后，一些用户生病，甚至有严重的健康问题。例如，我的婶婶喝了减肥茶后被送到了医院，这款减肥茶宣称是从蔬菜和水果中提取的。婶婶花了好久才康复。

Finally, some advertisements are deceptive. They lay stress on the good side and do not mention the side effects or true materials of the product. After using these low-quality products, some users fall ill and have serious health problems. My aunt, for example, was sent to a hospital after drinking weight-loss tea that claimed to be extracted from vegetables and fruits. It took her a long time to fully recover.

最后，我的观点是广告影响人们的想法和生活。

In conclusion, it is clear to me that advertising does affect people’s thoughts and lives.
