学情分析

学生在掌握了四个季节,并初步学会了表达自己最喜欢的季节及原因的基础上,完成本篇阅读理解,回答相关问题,进一步提升至写作,谈论自己最欢喜的季节。五年级学生已学习两年多的英语,在听说读写反复面具有一定能力,但让学生将本单元所学的简单表达连贯的完成一篇写作,对学生来说有一定难度,需在本课中进一步引导、学习。

一、教学依据

本课时教学是依据小学英语PEP教材五年级下册第二单元Read and write设计而成的。

二、学情分析

五年级英语在小学英语中属于高年级了,有了三、四年级英语教学的铺垫,学生已经有了一定的学习英语的习惯,也有了一定的英语基础。本节课已是第二单元的第六课时,学生已经熟练掌握一年四季,天气,季节的活动等词汇,能够简单描述各个季节的特征,并能运用以下句型进行围绕季节这个主题的对话:Which season do you like best?/ What’s your favourite season? I like… best./ Why do you like(summer)? Because I can…等。

三、设计思想

根据孩子的学习进程和接受能力,最后给出的语言框架。

Which season do you like best?/Whats your favrite season?

I like...best,because...通过师生示范并结合图片和阅读材料让学生能够理解文章意义并正确回答问题,进而表达自己所喜爱的季节。

四、教学目标

    1.学生能够听、说、读、写句型:Why do you like summer? Because I can swim in the lake. Why do you like winter? Because I can sleep a long time.并能在情景中正确运用。

    2.学生能够理解文章意义并正确回答问题和书写答句。

    3. 学生能够表达自己所喜爱的季节,并能写下来。

    4.培养学生热爱大自然,热爱生活,热爱学习的高尚情操。

六、教学方法

1.游戏教学法:用游戏形式复习单词、句型,练习新单词,使学生富学于乐,在活泼、轻松、愉快的气氛中自然而然地获得英语技能。

2.情景教学法:情景是教师创设或模拟的场景,应具有生动、实用的特点,便于学生将所学语言材料进行综合,创造性地进行表达交流。这种练习方法,有接近生活的交际功能,而且能变单调、机械的句型操练为活泼、生动的交际性练习。

   3.活动教学法:就是按照学生身心发展过程中的不同阶段来设计,布置情境,提供材料,让学生积极参与自由操作,观察思考。通过活动让学生自己认识事物,发现问题,得出答案。

Step 1:Warm-up(热身导入)

1.Watch a viedo of seasons.

(以欣赏四季视频进行热身,激发学生对不同季节的喜爱与赞赏之情,调动学生学习的积极性)

2.Free talk:T:Boys and girls,do you like this viedo?In this viedo,we can see four beautiful seasons.Now,can you tell me?Which season do you like best?Why?

         S:I like winter.Beacause its cold.I can play in the snow.

         T:Yes,in winter,we can also make a snowman,right?

         S:I like summer,because I can swim.

(使学生对四季的特征,以及所做的事情有了更清楚的认识,为下面的阅读提供了充分的知识准备。)

Step 2:Presentation(新课呈现)

1.Guessing game(教师把阅读课文中绿框里的句子单独列出来,放在PPT上。让学生根据句子判断是哪个季节,先让学生熟悉课本的字句,更熟悉四季的特征。)

a.The weather is hot,hot,hot!

         T:The weather is hot,hot,hot!Which season is it?

         Ss:Summer.

         T:Wow!Youre so clever.

b.There is lots of snow.It is white everywhere.

         T:What is it?

         Ss:Winter.

c.Look at the green trees and flowers.

d.What a lovely colours!The leaves fall and fall and fall.

         T:The leaves fall and fall and fall.Well,it may be a little difficult to guess.In which season,the leaves will fall?(教师配以树叶掉落的动作)

         Ss:Autumn.

         T:Is it autumn?Really?Lets see if you are right or not.Oh,yes.Its autumn.Welldone!

2.Listen to the tape recorder.(有助于学生集中精力找到答案)

         T:Kids,listen carefully and find out which season Robin likes best.

         Ss:Spring,summer,winter...

         T:Someong says spring,someone says winter.Therere different oppions.

3.Read the text.(让学生明白阅读时要注意方法,找关键句,同时不要忽视标题,养成学生良好的阅读习惯)

         T:Now,open your book.Read again and try to finish the exercise Read and tick.

         T:OK,time is up.Who can tell me the answer.The lastfallmeans what?

         Ss:Autumn.

         T:Good,here,fall means autumn.What about the second question?Which season does Robin like?

         Ss:All the four seasons.

         T:How do you know?We can find the answer from the text,right?Robin says,he likes spring...he likes summer...he loves fall...he likes winter.Thease four sentences tell us he likes all the four seasons.But,boys and girls,there is still one way we can find the answer.Who can find it?

         Ss:...

         T:Well,look at the title,please read it loud.

         Ss:Robin likes them all!

         T:See?So easy to find the answer.So next time when you read,dont forget the title!

Step3:Practice

a.Read the text alone.

b.Divide the whole class into 4 groups to read,one group for one season.

Step 4:Extension(拓展延伸)

1Encourage Ss to talk about things we can do in four seasons.

(激发了学生的学习热情,又为下面的写作环节做了很好的铺垫。)

    Write a passage: 用英语写出自己喜欢的季节,为什么喜欢这个季节,在这个季节能做的活动。

学情分析:

学生已经具备了一定的语言基础在第四册Unit 4中已进行过weather的认知和应用在第五册Unit 3关于食物的话题中曾接触过What’s your favorite fruit?语句,掌握了There be句型及其肯定,否定句式。在本单元前几课时教学中学生已经能够掌握本单元的重点单词及四会句型。因此,本节课重点在于培养学生形成阅读学习策略。在此基础上进行表达与写作训练,并适当扩展补充,以增大学生的阅读量,从而进一步提高阅读能力。

教学目标:

1. 掌握四会句子:Why do you like summer? Because I can swim in the lake. Why do you like winter? Because I can sleep a long time. 能在情景中正确运用。

2. 能够读懂文章内容,并能正确回答问题和书写答句。

3. 能够就所喜欢的季节及原因进行表述。

4. 能描述季节,天气情况。

教学重难点:

难点:掌握because引导的原因状语从句。

利用TPR动作表演来巩固四会单词。

2. 插图导入, 了解课文主要内容。

引导学生运用because来回答。

3. 播放动画,整体感知。

4.  默读并完成表格。(幻灯出示)
