(一)三维教学目标

知识与技能:

1. Key vocabulary: how often, exercise, skateboard, hardly, ever, once, twice, time, surf, Internet, program

2. Key structures:

(1)-What do you usually do on weekends?

  -I usually play soccer.  

(2)What does she do on weekends?

  -She often goes to movies.

(3)-How often do you shop?

  -I hardly ever shop.

(4)How often does she watch TV?

  -She watches TV once a week.

3. To train students’ listening skills and communicative competence. Students will be able to talk about weekend activities and how often they do them.

过程与方法:

1.       Listening speaking reading and writing methods.

2.       Discussion method.

3.       Pair work, Group work

4.       Competition method.

情感、态度与价值观:

培养学生的逻辑表述能力,激发学生的积极思维,并使学生互相了解,增进友谊,以形成良好的人际关系。用适当的激励评价方式(如:If you are right, please nod your head, if you are wrong please smile.),建立学生学习英语的自信心。

情感教育:Exercising is good for our body.

          Learn to be a strong student,don’t cry easily.

          Surfing the Internet too much is bad for our study.

          Life is colorful, love it.

(二) 教学重点、难点:

Important Points:   

问答有关课外活动,及活动的频率的表达

Difficulty Points:

    频率副词的用法,一般现在时的应用。

(三)教法与学法导航:

1.教法:该课时以对学生的听,说,读写能力的培养为主,课堂设计循序渐进,由易到难;设计合理并具有挑战性任务,如给动画配音,充当小记者等任务型活动,让学生在完成任务时练习使用目标语言,体验成功之快乐。词汇教学采用图片释义法,抓住学生崇尚明星的心理特征,在课件中插入了明星不同活动的图片,从而激发学生的学习兴趣。 

2.学法:本课话题为“谈论课外活动”,学生较为感兴趣,而且是新书的第一课,学生学起来有新鲜感,学生将在真实的语言环境中, 运用合作交流,互相探究,通过配音,采访活动,做小老师等多种学习方法,促进同学间互相了解,为学生创建展示舞台,注重赏识教育和激励措施。

(四)教学准备:

 教师准备:电脑课件、投影仪、电子教鞭,和微笑胸章,学生任务表。

(五)教学过程:

Step Greetings and Lead-in

1.(Play the song “weekend” before class)

Before class, teacher asks students some simple questions and make friends with students. 

2.Greet students and lead in.

   T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m very happy to meet you today. What day is it today? Oh, it’s Saturday. What day is it tomorrow? Of course it’s Sunday. So we call Saturday and Sunday weekends. Do you like weekends? This class we will talk about weekend activities. Can you tell me: What do you usually do on weekends?

     (Ask several students to answer the question with “ I usually…”)

Step II. Presentation

1. New phrases learning

   Talk about “What does she / he do in the pictures?” Learn new words “exercise” “skateboard”. Write  “exercise” “skateboard” on the blackboard. Students read one by one. Give a small gift to the student who read the words well.

(插入不同明星做不同活动的图片解释“exercise” “skateboard”,形象直观而且学生感兴趣)

2.1a

1)Students write weekend activities in 1a in the blanks.

2)Check answers.

3.New language learning

1)T: Look at the picture, some students are talking. What are they talking about?

2)Two students read the conversation “What do you usually do on weekend? I often go to the movies.”

3)T: Next let’s talk about these words.

(多媒体展示频率副词always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never的用法)

   4) Lead students to read the new words “hardly ever”

Step III. Listening and speaking

1. T: Look at the picture in 1a. What does she do? Maybe she is a reporter. She is asking students some questions. Let’s listen and do “Task 1”(Show students “Students’ Teaching Tasks”).

1b Listen and fill in the blanks with the words on the right.

Reporter: What do you usually do on weekend?

Boy 1:   I usually exercise.

Girl 1:   I always go shopping.

Boy 2:   Oh, I_________go shopping. I can’t stand shopping.

Girl 2:   I often go skateboarding.

Boy 2:   And I _________watch TV.

Reporter: How about you?

Girl 3:   I ________ watch TV. I love reading.

Reporter: Oh, why is that?

Girl 3:   Oh, I don’t know. I guess I just like books.

2.Check answers (After checking, tell students: :If you are right, please nod your head, if you are wrong please smile.)

3. Pair work.

Students make conversations according to pictures. Attention to different people like “ you, he, she , they” Attentions to verbs. Attentions to different adverbs.

Step IV. Presentation

1.Learn “once, twice, three times, four times…”

2.Give some examples on the screen. Practice “How often does he …?”  “ He does... once / twice.. a week / month.” At the same time students can use always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never to answer each question.

Step V. Listening 2a and 2b

1. Students listen to the tape and do 2a and 2b.

2. Check answers by asking and answering questions. “How often does Cheng…?”  

3. Lead students to read the tapescripts in 2a and 2b. Then divide students into two to read it.

4. Choose two or three pairs to dub the flash. Choose the best actor. Give students praise.

Step V. Be a teacher

1.Students work in groups to talk about the grammar today, and do Task 4

1、__________ 可以提问做某事的频率,表示“多久一次”.

2、其回答可以是频率副词,如 always _____ ______ ________ _________ _____,它们常常放于句___(中/ 尾)情系助动词之后,实义动词之前;其回答也可以是次数+段时间,如________(一天一次) ___________ (一个月两次) _______________ (一年三次)等,常放于句___ (中/ 尾)。

Step VII. Summary

T: Let’s summary what we have learned this class.

 1. We have talked about some activities on weekends like “ exercise, skateboard, surf the Internet”

2. We have learned to use “how often” to ask questions. And we can use always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever never, every day, once a week, twice a week, three times a day, four times a month...” to answer.

3. Everyone behaved really well.

Step VII. Homework (Students’ Task 4 )

Ask your friend how often he / she does these things. Then fill in the box below.
