从1964年到1967年的六年之间，美军总共出动飞机18多万架次空袭胡志明小道，导致4.6万辆车和大量装备被摧毁。胡志明小道上的很多武器装备是中国提供给越南的。当然，中国提供的许多武器被越军保留了下来，后来被用到同中国的战争之中。
