These paintings were done with oil on paper using a "Dry Brush" technique. It is a painting technique where a paint brush is relatively dry but still holds paint. A very thin layer of color is applied to a paper. 

   这些作品是用油彩和“干刷”技法在纸上画出来的。这种画法里画笔即使沾了油彩也基本是干的。每次涂在纸上只有薄薄的一层。

   Dry brush is layered layer after layer, at this point it is possible to incorporate different lighting effects and details. Images painted with a dry brush appear very similar to a photo.

“干刷”是一种一层叠一层，用无数层叠起来的画法，比较方便慢慢地渲染光线效果和刻画细节。干刷作品完成后会极其接近照片。

   It is not an easy technique which requires a lot of time.

  这其实不是个简单的活，因为特别花时间的。
