I am not aware of any common English saying that parallels the Chinese proverb: “子欲养而亲不待”.

Translation: “Sometimes parents pass away before their children have a chance to repay (their kindness/their hard work) in bringing them up”.

“Spend quality time with your parents before it’s too late”. 在不是太迟之际跟父母共享欢乐时光。

“You can never repay your parents for (what they have done/their sacrifice) for you”. 你永远不能补偿你父母(为你所做/为你的牺牲).
