Actually there is an idiom to emphasize the truthfulness and sincerity of what you say:

“Cross my heart/Cross my heart and hope to die” and sometimes you can reinforce that by making a “cross” sign over your chest.

Or you can say, “God is my witness. I am telling you the truth.”

Or “I’m (son-of-a-b****/a b****) if I lie.”

A very famous quote spoken by Richard Nixon in Watergate investigation is: "May lightning strike me down if I lie"

This is how it goes:

Your girlfriend asks you, “Am I your first love?”

You reply, “Of course you are!”

She says, “You are (not jiving me/not kidding me/serious/not lying), aren’t you?”

You look her in the eyes, make a cross with your index and middle fingers (like the guy above in the picture), and say to her with a deep tone, “Cross my heart!”
