Dear children

Let us never forget

That even though you call us teacher

You are all teachers too

And you teach the most wonderful things

 

You know how to make the most delicious cakes

And cookies

And ice cream

Out of Lego and sand and whatever else you can find

Even out of nothing!

 

You know it’s ok to cry when you’re sad You know how to be doctors  

Police officers

Firefighters

Wolves

Dragons

Moms and dads

 

You know how to repeat something over and over until you’ve mastered it

You know that being patient can be very hard

And stopping a game for anything, even to pee

Can be very disappointing

 

You know how to find spider webs in the most unlikely places

 

You know how to build houses and towns

And banks and stores and mountains of candy

And then how to destroy it all

 

You know how to sit quietly and read a book

You know how to be so excited

Jumping is the only thing left to do

And you know how to be so happy

Dancing is the best way to show it

 

You know how to give great hugs

 

Dear children, every day you teach

The magic of small, ordinary things May you never forget how special you are

May all of your teachers be as wonderful as you

你们知道怎样对一些事物一遍又一遍地重复直到完全掌握它

你们知道拥有耐心很困难

任何影响游戏正常进行的事情都会令你们很失望

即使是上厕所这样的事情

 

你们知道怎样在最不起眼的地方找到蜘蛛网

你们知道怎样建造一座城市

一个银行，一个商店和一个堆满糖果的大山

 

然后再把它们完全毁掉

你们知道怎样让自己坐下来静静地读一本书

你们知道怎么表现自己的兴奋

高高地跳起来是唯一的方式

你们知道怎样表现自己的开心

跳舞是最好的表现方式

你们知道怎样给别人一个大大的拥抱

亲爱的孩子们，每一天你们都在告诉我们

希望小朋友们不要忘记你们是多么的特别

希望所有的老师能够和你们一样纯粹和完美！
