英诗中译：海之恋

我必须再次出海, 去那孤寂的海与天空,

我只要一艘巨船, 一颗星能为引航把控，

我只要舵轮振奋，海风高歌，白帆颤扬，

我只要海面迷雾昏灰，黎明破晓的曙光。

我必须再次出海，响应海潮奔涌的传呼，                   

这呼声狂野、嘹亮、谁也无法与他对抗；

我只要天天有劲风，白云上空云卷云舒，

我只要浪花四溅，白沫翻滚，海鸥嚷嚷。

我必须再次出海，像吉普赛的海上流浪，

像海鸥搏击长空，像鲸鱼腾海风砺刀枪；

我只要趣事乐谈，出自于同伴们的欢笑，

我只要酣睡甜梦，在经久掌舵后的疲劳。

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel’s tick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea’s face and a gray dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gull crying.

I must go down to the seas again to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull’s way and the whale’s way the wind’s like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.
