Do not go gentle into that good night
By Dylan Thomas
Donot go gentle into that good night,
Oldage should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Thoughwise men at their end know dark is right,
Becausetheir words had forked no lightning they
Donot go gentle into that good night.
Goodmen, the last wave by, crying how bright
Theirfrail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wildmen who caught and sang the sun in flight,
Andlearn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Donot go gentle into that good night.
Gravemen, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blindeyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Andyou, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Donot go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Do
Old
Rage,
Though
Because
Do
Good
Their
Rage,
Wild
And
Do
Grave
Blind
Rage,
And
Curse,
Do
Rage,
