I remember reading that quote somewhere on the Internet. It is not only witty but it also applies explains the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge opens the gates of information and data to you. It lets you know what exists and what existed. It lets you have the information that could come handy in a variety of situations.

However, an alpha male is more than knowledgeable. An alpha male is wise. Anyone can acquire knowledge through sufficient study, research, observation and acquaintance. But gaining wisdom is a herculean task. It comes with experience and experience comes through failures. Hence an Alpha male fails. He is not afraid to fail is a more apt statement to make. Coming back to the topic at hand, wisdom is hard to achieve. An alpha male however, is a wizened man and knows how to put the acquired knowledge to task. He is aware of the risks and the cons of the work he is about to get involved in. His experience gives him the power to foresee and foretell which he does to a successful extent.
