“春色无高下，花枝自短长。”

宋代圆悟克勤禅师作过一首诗偈，将人类的分别心形容得十分生动。

春天的景致本来没有什么高下的不同，但在人的眼里，却有了区分。长也好，短也好，都是大自然之美的显现。由于有了分别心，就会人为地起了好恶的念头，减弱了智慧，看不清自然宇宙，迷失了自己。
可是尘世没有永恒，万物皆为过客， 何不以平等的目光，看待每一个有情众生身后的漫长时光，懂得每一个卑微个体之所以成长为现在样子的原因。也变懂得了万物平等，自然生灭，并无差异。
