Which、that、与what的区别

教学目标：

1.       能够知道which、that是定语从句的连接词，what是名词性从句的连接词。

2.       理解名词性从句连接词what等于定语从句先行词加关系代词，即：what=先行词+which/that

3.       在句子中灵活运用what、which、that。

区分That、which与what

例一，

1.  This is the story which/that he told me yesterday.(定语从句)

2． This is what he told me yesterday.(表语从句)

分析：第一个句子是定语从句，先行词是the story 作told 的宾语，于是使用关系代词which或that；第二个句子是what引导的表语从句属于名词性从句。通过对比观察，我们可以得出：名词性从句连接词what等于定语从句先行词the story加关系代词which/that，即：what=the story+which/that.

例二，

1.       The story which / that he told me is true.（定语从句）

2.       What he told me is true.（主语从句）

分析：what=the story+ which/that

例三，

1.       All that they could do was to work hard.(定语从句)

2.       What they could do was to work hard.（主语从句）

分析：what=all + that

总结：名词性从句连接词what等于定语从句先行词加关系代词，即：what=先行词+which/that。
