History
The Cheshire Course is the finest British heathland course with beautiful scenery.
Proshop
Medium size proshop . The decoration is posh and high standard. But there is only very limited stock.

Club house
Club house is posh. The terrace overlooks the 18th green and the beautiful flowers around 18th tee at sandstone cliffs atop.

Practice Area
The practice facilities include driving range, multiple putting greens and short game practice area.

Tee Ground
There are 4 tee sets: Blue (6824 yards), White (6653 yards), Yellow (6348 yards) Red(5593 yards).
The tee ground is in good conditions.

Fairway
The Fairway width varies, some is narrow and some is wide. There are some uphill and down hill but generally a easy walking course.

Green
The green is medium size. The green was left a bit long and the speed is a bit slow. There is some bubble on the green. It was good greens but not being maintained well.

Course Design
The course is built around slowly undulated hills, which have a nice view on the top of the hill.

PAR 3
It is a rare design that the opening hole is a par 3. The length is 155 yards and straight forward hole. Apart from spectator effects, it is a very easy hole.
8th is long par 3, 206 yards. It is a good test of long iron or fairway wood.
15th is short par 3, 126 yards. A pitching wedge or 9 iron will do the work.
17th is a medium-long par 3, 181 yards. Thick tree lines at the left and beautiful red bushes scattered at the right.
4 Par 3s give a good test of short, medium and long clubs.

PAR 5
2nd hole, 542 yards, is uphill and play longer than yardage.
6th hole, 524 yards, has wide fairway but OB on either side of the fairway.
11th hole, 555 yards. Left hand side are protected by trees and multiple small bunkers. there is a creek at around 105 yards, which will make player think where to put the 2nd shot.
14th hole, 425 yards, is very shot par 5. But it is uphill. The green is raised, hidden behind the bunkers , surrounded by trees, only a small passage from the fairway to green.

Bunker
It is earth rather than sand in the bunker. The quality is sub standard

Signature hole:
12th par 4, 359 yards, is featured with water. From the tee, the pond is 240 yards away , which the player need to think about how to play the tee shot. The water hazards is from 80 yards till the left side of the green.
Par 5, 14th is another interesting shot par 5.
16th, 381 yards par 4, is a very tough uphill par 4. The fairway from tee to green narrows down. The green is raised and protected by trees on the left and bunkers on the right.
18th, 314 yards par 4, is have most beautiful scenery over looking the club house and golf resorts and the welsh hills. The 18 is a down hill hole with the pond at 240 yards and bunkers at 200 yards. A decisive and accurate tee shot is needed.

Summary
The Cheshire course has the panoramic views throughout with a few tough uphill hole. The course are designed well but need some maintenance work at the green and bunker.
