冯承素摹《兰亭序》，因卷首有唐中宗李显神龙年号印章，为便于与其他版本的《兰亭序》相区别，故冯承素摹《兰亭序》又称“神龙本《兰亭序》”。

此摹本笔法、气韵、墨色、行笔、章法、神韵等方面都与王羲之《兰亭序》相近，所以也是公认的最好的《兰亭序》摹本。

褚遂良版《兰亭序》虽然稍逊于冯承素“神龙本”，但也深得兰亭神韵，因卷后有米芾题诗，故又称“米芾题诗本《兰亭序》”。

虞世南版《兰亭序》，因卷中有元天历内府藏印，故称“天历本《兰亭序》”，虞世南深得智永真传，其书大有魏晋风韵。

在我国书法史上不仅虞世南、冯承素、褚遂良临摹过王羲之的《兰亭序》，历代的书法名家，甚至现代所有的书法爱好者也都临摹过，可见书圣王羲之这个“天下第一行书”的魅力之大，影响之远。
