善建者不拔,善抱者不脱,子孙以祭祀不辍。修之于身,其德乃真;修之于家,其德乃余;修之于乡,其德乃长;修之于邦,其德乃丰;修之于天下,其德乃普。故以身观身,以家观家,以乡观乡,以邦观邦,以天下观天下。吾何以知天下之然哉?

凡是善于建树人,一切事成皆可能。
一旦有所建树后,不可拔除永保存。
若是善于抱持人,不会轻易便离分。
一旦有所抱持后,不会脱掉独孤零。

他的德就必然是,丰盈有余代代发。

以自身的修身道,观察他人道低高。
以自家的齐家法,观察他家的齐家。
以自乡的故乡情,观察他乡乡中事。
能以自己的国家,观察其他的国家。

就是用的这方法,此法源于道德经。

为啥我们常常讲,有得有失这道理。
那就表示这个得,它是很不稳定的。
因为德是从道来,德道是很密切的。

可以把我们的道,把它立起示天下。
而且立的很牢固,不会摇摆不定的。
老子道德经里面,提出两个好方法。

他说善建者不拔,能善抱者则不脱。
善建就是通常说,善于建立的意思。
建立什么它就是,建立我们的德行。
我们把它叫立德,三不朽里早阐明。
He said he who builds well does not pull, and he who holds well does not take off.
Being good at building means being good at building.
Build what it is, build our virtue.
We call it virtue, three immortal in the early elucidated.

其实立德就是建,建立自己的德行。
一个世间很擅长,建立自己德行人。

人家稍微捧捧你,你的德行就抛去。
这种谈不上不拔,轻易就被拔掉了。
真正善建者不拔,外界不能左右他。
When someone gives you something, you can't hold it.
People praise you a little, your virtue is gone.
This kind of talk can not be pulled, easily pulled.
The real good builder does not pull out, the outside world can not influence him.

看一个人是不是,真正的确会立德。
就要看他是不是,永久对德把持着?
迟早德会被拔掉,还是永不被拔除。

都说善抱者不脱,什么叫作善抱呢?
如果老子讲善抱,一定就是抱一了。

虽然一不等于道,但是一可代表道。

所以孔子才讲道:吾将道一以贯之。
那个一它是什么?其实就是道意思。

就会祭祀永不断,香火不断永传承。
香火不断被说成,有男孩才可继承。

可是老子为什么,重视祭祀的礼仪?

【注释】

建:栽培的意思,即建立、培养。拔:动摇。

抱:此处意为保护、保卫。

辍:停止。

何以:以何,凭什么,用什么。

【译文】

善于建树的人一旦有所建树就不可拔除,善于抱持的人一旦有所抱持就不会脱掉。如果子子孙孙都能遵守“善建”、“善抱”的道理,后代的烟火就不会断绝。把这个道理贯彻付诸到自身,他的德就是真实纯正的;把这个道理贯彻付诸到一家,他的德就是丰盈有余的;把这个道理贯彻付诸到一乡,他的德就会受到尊崇;把这个道理贯彻付诸到一国,他的德就会丰盛硕大;把这个道理贯彻付诸到天下,他的德就会无限普及。所以以自身的修身之道来观察他人,以自家观察他家,以自乡观察他乡,以自己的国家观察其他的国家,以自己的天下观察别人的天下。我凭借什么知道天下的情况呢?就是用的这种方法。我们读了《道德经》就非常清楚,道是与生俱来的,德不德是我们每一个人修来的。可见德是非常重要的,有德它就得而不失。我们常常讲有得有失,那就表示我们这个得,它是很不稳定的。

老子他说,德是从道来,它跟道的关系非常密切,可是我们有什么具体的方法,可以把我们的道,把它立起来,而且立的很牢固,不会这样摇摆不定。老子在第五十四章他提出了两个非常具体可行的方法。他说,善建者不拔,善抱者不脱。善建,建是建立的意思,建立什么,就是建立我们的德行。今天我们把它叫做立德,你看三不朽里面我们把它叫做立德、立功、立言,立德就是建,建立自己的德行。一个很擅长建立自己的人就是两个字,不拔。不拔就是你怎么想办法影响我,都拔除不了我身上这么良好的德行,拔除不了的。

人家给你一点钱,你的德就不见了;人家升迁你,你德就不见了;人家给你一点点好处,人家稍微捧你一下,你的德就不见了。这种人谈不上不拔,谈不上,很轻易就被拔掉了。善建者不拔,一个人是不是真的会立德,要看他是不是迟早被拔掉,还是永久不被拔除,这个是自己要去考验的。善抱者不脱,什么叫善抱?如果老子讲抱,一定是抱一,一就是道。我们已经讲过了,一不等于道,但是一可以代表道,所以一个人善于把一抱得牢牢的人,这个人不可能离道,更不可能叛道。这样各位才知道,为什么孔老夫子才讲,吾道一以贯之。那个一其实就是道的意思。如果你能够不拔、不脱,你就做到善建、善抱,那你就是一个很会立德的人。我们都已经慢慢很清楚了,这样的结果会怎么样呢?

子孙以祭祀不辍。这样的话你的子子孙孙就会祭祀永远不停断,我们俗语叫做香火不断,其实香火不断后来传成说一定要有男儿,有这个男孩子才可以继承,这也是太偏了。女孩子也可以祭祀,自己没有子孙、没有子女,别人想到你别人纪念你,照样可以祭祀,可是老子真的那么重视祭祀吗?没有。这句话的真正意思不在祭祀,而是在你所作所为,你的典范世世代代会流传,会活在我们炎黄子孙的心中,那叫什么?那叫精神不朽。一个人能够做到精神不朽,你在历史上立德,就会把你的这种精神长期的发扬下去,这就是中华文化。
