《嫦娥彩》,福建、金华叫“大五宝”；浙江松阳叫“五色茶花”。叶片较圆，色淡绿，叶脉明显。花径6厘米左右,牡丹形或完全重瓣形,花期12月至2月。花色可分为：粉嫦娥彩（粉色带红斑镶白边,附图15张）、红嫦娥彩(花瓣中间凹陷处有白斑,附图9张）、白嫦娥彩(中心处常有红润,附图7张)、花嫦娥彩(红、白相间，附图6张）、挂线嫦娥彩（白色带红线，附图7张）。一般全树99%是其中一种花色，偶然夹有几朵其他色彩的花。所谓一树能同时开出各种花色数量都很多的,纯粹是炒作而已。该品种10年以下低树龄花瓣多而挺立；30年以上高龄树花瓣少向后翻。主要缺点：夏秋高温顶梢易落叶“秃顶”；叶片极易长 “炭疽病” 黑斑；根系较差易得“根腐病”；枝条软极易长“红蜡蚧”；高龄树花瓣少重度后翻根系差。上世纪八十年代，古市上方村，李宏福家大量扦插销售，古市乡村广泛种植。八十年代以前，古市上方村、上下源口村、内外孟村，均有古树！

《文瓣五色螺旋粉》茶花含义：“文瓣”民间口语叫“无花心”。“五”是一个形容词，是指“多”,在这里也有“稀少珍贵”之意。“螺旋”指花瓣呈轮状螺旋形排列。七仙女、粉嫦娥彩因其花多以粉色为主调，常会开这种“多色多胞胎并蒂花”，福建人给它取了一个生动形像的别名“文瓣五色螺旋粉”。

　　　过去，某一个品种的茶花一树能开出三种以上不同颜色的花，民间俗称为：“五色、五宝”或“仙种”。如：粉嫦娥彩、五色赤丹、五色芙蓉、七仙女、花十八学士等。比如：浙江松阳《粉嫦娥彩》叫“五色茶花”，但在福建、金华也有人叫"大五宝"。又如：“十八学士”，人们也叫它“小五宝”，这些叫法往往带有区域性。

　　　以《嫦娥彩》系列为例，按花色可分为:粉嫦娥彩(粉色底带红斑块镶粉白边)、红嫦娥彩(花瓣中间凹陷处有小白斑点)、白嫦娥彩(中心处偶有红润)、花嫦娥彩(花瓣红\白\粉相间)、挂线嫦娥彩(白色底带红线小斑块)，全树以一种花色为主，在不确定的技条上偶尔夹有几朵其他色彩的花。

　　　开“复色”即双色的茶花如“花鹤翎、花牡丹、花宝珠”、“复色期望”，"斑色情人节、白斑姻脂莲“，这里的“花、复、斑“是指双色的意思，因品种很多，所以也就少人叫它“五色”、“五宝”、”仙种“了。

　　　过去，由于交通、信息不方便，在不同的地方，虽是同一品种，但名称叫法却不尽相同，带有明显的区域性。还有，同一品种，由于各地的地域气候条件差别，产生变异，就取了新名字。
