With the experiences and positive feedback gained from Siddhartha, we produced our second musical Above Full Moon in 2004 and performed at Malaysia Bukit Jalil Indoor Stadium and Singapore Esplanade Theatre.

2004年我們製作了第二部音樂劇《天心月圓》,并在馬來西亞布特拉室內體育館以及新加坡濱海藝術中心劇院演出,同樣得到觀眾的贊賞.

 

 

 

 

 

Synopsis . 剧情简介

Above Full Moon – the musical starts with the Boxer Rebellion of the late 1890’s in China, in the midst of confusion we see the hero of the musical, Lee Shu Tong, stopped by foreign troupes while on his way to the court examination, stopped by the foreign troupe. The city of Tianjin had been seized by foreign forces. It was then that he realized that his dream had been dashed, he would never be able to become an officer in the court and he would not have the opportunity to help his country… no matter how talented he is.

 

Lee had been born into a rich and traditional family. He had a gentle and earnest personality and showed versatile artistic talent since very young. Like most educated young Chinese, Lee believed his country and the Qing Dynasty, which was controlled by the powerful Empress Dowager, needed a reform. However, the reform movement was short lived and most of the reformers had been either killed or forced into exile overseas.

 

In 1906, Lee’s beloved mother passed away. Bound to a loveless arranged marriage and disappointed by the situation in his country, he left his wife at home to study Western painting and music in Japan. There, he fell in love with his Japanese model. Though she knew of his past, she chose to stay with him. While studying, he formed “Chunliu Association”, a coterie of drama, which subsequently moved to Shanghai and pioneered the New Dramatic Movement in China.

 

In 1911 when Lee returned to China, Qing Dynasty has been overthrown and a new government was in ruling. But, the situation in the country was still uncertain and people were living in fear and poverty. Lee felt that education was the best solution to his country’s problems and that the society needed cleansing through arts. He took up a teaching post where he taught painting and music, as the vanguard of education in western arts. Many of his students became renowned artists, painters and musicians.

 

However, he again surprised many people. After 7 years as a well-respected educator, Lee decided to take up the rope and was ordained as a Buddhist monk. He then dedicated all his time and effort to seeking perfection in life. His life’s journey as a citizen of his country had reached a higher level. He felt that a spiritual path complemented by his artistic expression was the way to a life with deeper meaning and satisfaction, a life liken to Above Full Moon…

 

1900年民間秘密結社組織義和團高舉滅洋旗幟。為了消除這股反帝國主意的勢力，八個帝國主意國家組成了侵華聯盟，攻陷了天津。正在趕路到開封考府試的李叔同眼看中華民族面臨亡國的危機，自己卻什么也做不到，救國救民的理想也隨之破滅。

 

1905年，在敬愛的母親去世後，李叔同決定隨著知識份子留學救國的熱潮，留下妻子和兒子，東渡日本留學。在東京，他主修西洋畫和西洋音樂，并與曾孝谷等創組《春柳社》公演西洋話劇，成為中國新劇運動的先驅。他也在這里遇到了誠子，一個和他同樣熱愛藝術的日本女子。縱然知道李叔同在故鄉有家室，但誠子依然選擇了這段愛情。

 

李叔同于三十一歲畢業，帶同誠子回國。這個時候辛亥革命成功，清朝被推翻，不過局勢還是動蕩不安，人心惶惶，處于軍閥時代。李叔同覺得社會非常需要教育和藝術的洗滌，先後任教于浙江第一師范高等校，他的學生如豐子愷及劉貲平等深受他的影響，往后都成為舉足輕重的藝術大師。

 

當他把一身的文藝傳授學生時，自己則追求精神上更高的層次。三十九歲時放下萬緣，毅然出家。他一生做人凡是認真和嚴肅，他要學一樣就要像一樣，做什么就要像什么，出家后，他發愿研習戒律，立志复辧南山律宗，整理律宗著述，終成為受人敬仰的一代高僧，弘一大師。

周博慧（飾演誠子） PaulWay
博慧曾在台灣留學，副修流行樂及音樂劇聲樂，目前擔任流行演唱聲樂老師，也是一位詞曲創作人，她的創作歌曲被台灣新力音樂禦用收錄在旗下歌手李玟及王秀琳專輯中。1996年開始從事電台及電視廣告錄音，包括Fuji Film, ZA Cosmetics, TM Touch等等，也替不少海外歌手擔任演唱會及專輯和音配唱。2003年曾代表馬來西亞前往台灣擔任第一屆“人間音緣”佛曲創作比賽的表演嘉賓。1999年參演《釋迦牟尼佛傳》音樂劇，分飾耶輸陀羅及贊頌者的角色，動人的歌聲和出色的演出令觀眾難忘。  

Paul Way studied pop and musical singing in Taiwan. Currently a vocal instructor at Encore Music, she is also a composer and lyricist. Coco Lee and other singers in Taiwan have recorded her compositions. Paul Way herself has recorded many TV and radio singles since 1996, including commercials for Fuji Film, ZA cosmetics and TM Touch. In 2003, she was a guest artiste at the First Buddhist Song Competition in Taiwan. In 1999, she was cast as Princess Yasodhana, the wife of Prince Siddhartha, in Siddhartha the Musical.

 

 

馬建虹  （飾演俞氏） Kean Horng

建虹是畢業于國際音樂學院的音樂學士，主修編曲、創作以及音樂制作，更被學院選為“最佳學院表演者”。目前在李偉菘音樂課室擔任歌唱導師。她10歲開始學習鋼琴和聲樂，並擁有第8級鋼琴文憑。17歲時便得到第五台之星的北馬曲冠軍以及總決賽的亞軍，更曾榮獲1999年ASTRO新秀大賽亞軍。歌唱實力備受注目的她曾受邀擔任陶吉吉《黑色柳丁》以及伍思凱《愛的鋼琴手》大馬簽唱會的表演嘉賓。  

A graduate of the International College of Music (ICOM) in composition, arrangement and music production, Kean Horng was the guest performer for renowned Taiwanese artistes David Tao and Sky Wu, in their Malaysian showcases in 2002 and 2003 respectively. She has been taking vocal lessons since the age of 10 and finished grade 8 in both practical and theory music under The Associated Board of The Royal School of Music (ABRSM). The former 1st runner-up of Astro Talent Quest 1999 and 1st runner-up of Star of Radio 5 1997, Kean Horng is currently a vocal instructor at the famed Lee Wei Song School of Music.

 

 

吳慧倪 （飾演王氏）Huey Ni

慧倪畢業于國立台灣大學曆史及中文系，目前是中學曆史及中文教師。留台求學時期熱愛表演藝術，曾在大學籌辦“大馬之夜“，透過戲劇、舞蹈、音樂把馬來西亞文化帶給台灣觀眾。此外，她也曾參與國立台北藝術大學天使蛋夏日劇場之《學狼叫兩聲汪汪》的幕後工作。  

Huey Ni graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in History and Chinese language. Currently a secondary school teacher, Huey Hi has been active in performing arts while studying in Taiwan, including organizing The Malaysian Night in her university to promote Malaysia arts and culture.

  

 

謝松汎（飾演許幻園、劉質平）Song Fan

松汎求學時就活躍于霹雳《緣之家》佛曲創作工作坊。他是《真善美的旋律》以及《緣起的屋檐下》佛曲創作專輯巡回馬來西亞發表會的歌手之一。在SAE (School of Audio Engineering) 修讀錄音工程後踏入廣告錄音和音效後期制作的行業。他也是一位配音員，因為對歌唱的熱愛，他目前在Encore Music School接受流行演唱聲樂訓練。  

Song Fan has been an active member of a Buddhist Hymn Group since secondary school. He was one of the performers in The Melody of Truth and The Melody of Truth 2 concert tour in Malaysia. After graduation from SAE (School of Audio Engineering) with Diploma in Audio Engineering, he joined an audio post production studio as sound engineer. Song Fan is also a voice-over talent 

 

黎勝平（飾演豐子恺）Christopher Lay

勝平曾獲得馬來西亞1995年亞洲之星亞軍，以及1998年ASTRO新秀大賽冠軍，並代表馬來西亞到廣州參加全球華人新秀大賽。他在2000年推出首張個人專輯《燃燈之歌》，2002年則發表了創作專輯《愛。傳。說》。2003年他成立了“勝音才華藝術學院”。2004年推出最新佛曲專輯《菩提樹》。勝平也參與《釋迦牟尼佛傳》音樂劇的演出。  

Christopher is a recording artiste with three albums to his name – Ran Deng Zhi Ge, in 2000, Love。Legend。Story in 2002 and Bodhi Tree in 2004. He set up his own arts school, Greenwich Performing Arts, in 2003. Christopher was the 1998 Astro Talent Quest winner and represented Malaysia in the TVB International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship in Guangzhou, China. Christopher was one of the main casts in Siddhartha the musical.

 

楊偉漢（飾演李叔同弘一大師）Wei Han

偉漢擁有馬來西亞工藝大學環境繪測學士學位，曾榮獲多項最佳繪測獎項。1997年，憑著對音樂的熱愛開始踏入流行樂壇，除了推出過個人專輯，包括2003年的《鉛華錄姚敏作品集》之外，也曾在多張合輯及佛教專輯中參與創作和演唱。他在各大頒獎典禮獲得肯定和贊賞，例如97年新人獎、1998－2003年馬來西亞十大歌手獎、1998年和2000年娛協十大金曲獎，2000年中文AIM最佳編曲獎及年度金曲獎，以及2002年娛協獎十大金曲獎和傳媒推介大獎。2001年，偉漢代表馬來西亞到朝鮮參與朝鮮文化藝術節並榮獲“最佳原創創意獎”。1999年參與《釋迦牟尼佛傳》音樂劇演出，擔任悉達多及佛陀的角色，隨而在2000年至2002年期間到新加坡及南非三大城市的歌劇院巡回演出。

Wei Han holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Technology Malaysia. He became a recording artiste in 1997 with his debut album entitled Loving You Is Actually Perilous. In 2003 he recorded an album Chinese Song Legend Yao Min. He has won many local music awards including Nanyang Top Ten 1997 Best Newcomer, 2003 Best Performer, 1998-2003 top ten singers; 1998, 2000, 2002 PWHWP top ten songs, 2000 Chinese AIM best song arrangement and song of the year. In 2001, he was invited to represent Malaysia in the “April Spring Friendship Art Festival” in North Korea and won “The Most Creative Award” for his composition. Wei Han played the leading role in Siddhartha the Musical.
