唐山启新1889文化创意产业园，是我国首个以水泥工业为主要内容的博物馆，走进文创园就能看到园内内的许多建筑都保持着原貌，它们与唐山一起经历过灾难的时刻，如今它们依然屹立在那里。

走进其中，仿佛又看到了这个建立于1889年的中国第一家民族水泥企业的辉煌时刻，国内现存最早的、也是运转时间最长的两台设备，是从丹麦史密斯引进的4、5号水泥悬窑，直径为2.1米，长45米，从1911运转到1997年长达86年之久。中国的第一桶水泥就是在这里诞生的。

“中国铁路源头游” 项目坐落于国家级生态旅游示范区南湖公园内，紧邻2016唐山世界园艺博览会会址。项目把南湖、开滦、启新三个景区之间现有约7公里铁路线充分挖掘利用，开设南湖2016站、开滦1878站、启新1889站三个站点。
