     That very night in Max's room a forest grew and grew-and grew until his ceiling hung  with vines and the walls became the world all around.

     Max said and sent the wild things off to bed without their supper.And Max the king of all wild things was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all.

     麦克斯让野兽们去睡觉，不给它们吃晚饭。野兽之王麦克斯感到很孤单，他想待在有人最爱自己的地方。

     But the wild things cried,"Oh please don't go-we'll eat you up-we love you so!" And Max said,"No!"

     可是野兽们哭喊着：“噢，请不要走——我们要吃了你——我们太爱你了！”麦克斯却说：“不!”

      and sailed back over a year,and in and out of weeks and through a day; and into the night of his very own room where he found his supper waiting for him and it was still hot.

      过了整整一年，过了好多个星期，过了一天，又回到他出发前的那个晚上，他发现房间里为他准备的晚饭还热着呢。
