Spring is at the door of Beijing. For someone like me who just cannot stand the winter, it’s a big news. So it’s time for me to socialize again. Just a bit. Just to let the weather warm up my old bones and start to think about the idea that, maybe, losing my winter fat could be, after all, a luminous idea. In clear, it’s time for me to go to some events.

By the way, for me, events mean fashion events, art events, smth with at the end, the word event. Events go with Champagne. Champagne goes with some beautiful, of course very smart and indeed very elegant people. Champagne goes with the unbelievable chance to see behind a wall of photographer a celebrity slightly lost, but always very professional. Champagne is full of gold and bubbles. I love Champagne. It reminds me that Fashion is at the center of the world.

Fashion victims, trendsetters, photographers, journalists, friends of journalists, friends of that guy, friend of that gal are struggling to get an invitation. It’s part of the game, it’s part of the event. Everybody smiles, everybody is agree that the finger foods are not so good, everybody criticize this, criticize that, everybody spent half of the time sending SMS and the other half to read it.

Events are always delighting, always refreshing and of course, always enlightening. It’s the opportunity to feel that we exist, above all and against all odds. I suppose that Sacha Guitry was right: the little I know I owe to my ignorance. Have a luvely day
