Security on the Citect SCADA Web
Server is handled by IIS security, which is
tightly integrated
with Windows™ user-based authentication。

installation and initial configuration of the Web Server need to be
performed by a Windows™ user with local administrator
permissions; that is, they need to be able

Security Systems Defined

When
configuring security for the Web Server there are three different
types of security
that need to be clearly defined and understood。

- Windows™ Security
Windows™ Security is the security
system that is used to log in to the
computer, domain
and/or workgroup. In order to set up the security for the web
client the user

- Web Server Security
Web Server Security is the security
system that controls access to the
projects via the
Web Server. Users may be added from the Windows™ Security

- Citect SCADA Security
Citect SCADA Security refers to the
users that are set up to log in to
the SCADA
projects. Even though the other two security types are used they
do
