②   “says the most” 在这里可以漂亮地翻译为“最能体现”或“最能反映”。

②   “The main purpose of tourism” 译为 “除了游览不同的地方之外”。其实也可以翻得更漂亮一些。然而有时候，翻译的理论告诉我们，没有特别需要去引申和修饰的，尽量从原意出发，在直译的基础上稍加润笔即可。这种做法似乎是比较适合应试的，为了更直观的告诉阅卷老师，我翻的”没有错”，请直接pass过去就好了。

③   “get acquainted with each other’s customs and cultures” 个人认为这里的”each other”是需要明确翻译出来的。因此，尽管尾巴较长，也应该翻译为”让旅游者和当地人民之间相互了解对方的习俗和文化”。

3.     The Australian continent has many different climatic zones ranging from tropical in the north, leading to subtropical and savanna, to arid deserts inthe centre and temperate inthe south.

本句的关键是要发现and连接的前后两句是因果关系而非并列关系。剩下的就是选词和表达的功夫了。

9.     Hawaiian Islands are one of the most beautiful places on earth. The weather is friendly. The temperature ranges from 60-90 degrees all year long. It’s a little warmer in summer and a little cooler in winter, but every day is a beach day for somebody.
