练习白谭崔瑜珈有感

 

 

When, from the depths of the soul

The flame of aspiration rises engulfing the being,

All other concerns vanish like dry leaves in the wind

当灵魂深处升起的

热望之火吞没了存在，

余下的思虑都如风中枯叶般退散。

 

True, tortuous contortions cannot control

The conflagration. The aftermath of ashes

Gives scarred testimony to the purification process

Where thoughts and feelings and desires,

Long forgotten promises and predictions

Presenting themselves for self-immolation

真实的，扭曲的，都不能控制那烈火。

灰烬是这净化过程痛苦的证明，随后

思想、情感、欲望，

还有久已忘却的承诺和预言

统统呈上，自我焚祭。

 

Survive or perish---

moving the soul ever forward in time and space

To repeat the process again with a new body

and a different face.

生存或毁灭——

推动着灵魂在时空里不断前进，

以新的躯体和面孔

重复净化的过程。

 

Over and over, each time closer and closer

to the clarity and rarity

Of the soaring made possible without excess baggage

to hold us earthbound.

我们一次又一次地翱翔，

每一次都更接近纯净与珍稀，

再没有沉重的包袱

把我们困在地上。

 

No diminishing returns in Guru’s Bani.

The more you chant, the more is revealed----

The more you welcome and bring to light what was concealed

So focus can be on experiencing heavenly minutes

in the hour-glass of time,

Whose sands stand suspended in mid-air.

在上师的心咒中没有递减的回报，

唱颂越多，其意更明——

你越开放，掩藏的越会向你显露。

如此，专注于天堂般的喜乐，

令沙漏中的沙子停在了半空。

 

Is it meditation or is it sleep?

Eyes are closed, silence is deep.

the tape is playing, the lines are straight

Struggle intensifies: Destiny vs. Fate!

I watch, I pray, I read, I write

I’m blessed to see this glorious sight.

这是冥想，还是昏睡？

眼睛合上，寂静深邃。

磁带在播放，语句直白，

斗争剧烈：天命对命数！

我观看，我祈祷，我阅读，我书写，

目睹这辉煌的场景是我的荣幸。
