Oralce Transaction processor error Total serial numbers does not match the transaction quantity 

Solution

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

Use the Organization Parameters form. (Navigation:  Order Management Responsibility ->Shipping->Setup->Organization Parameters)

Note: "Allocate Serial Numbers" is in the Revision, Lot, Serial Number tab

"Pick Confirmation Required" is in the ATP, Pick, Item Sourcing tab

If you are Launching Pick Release from the Shipping transactions form,  you must set the options as follows:

1.  If you want to Auto Pick Confirm orders (so that you do not need to Transact Move orders),  set "Allocate Serial Numbers"  to YES and "Pick Confirmation Required" to NO (not checked).

2.  If you do not want to allocate serial numbers, you must transact move orders.  Set "Allocate Serial Numbers" to NO and "Pick Confirmation Required" to YES (checked).

If you are pick releasing orders from the Release Orders for Picking form, you may set "Allocate Serial numbers" to NO and Pick Confirmation Required to NO (not checked).  However, you must be aware of which orders contain serialized items,  and for these orders,  you must manually select Auto Pick Confirm = NO (not checked) in the Shipping Tab of the Pick Release form.  Otherwise,  you will encounter the same error.   You may want to define a pick release rule which has Auto Pick Confirm = No,  and use this pick release rule for all orders which have serialized items.
