First case in human race with infection of Avian Flu Virus H7N9 was found in China and genetic sequences were successfully isolated and discovered by a group of Chinese scientists. This data was immediately disclosed to public. However, Chinese scientists has been possibly hurt by sharing their findings with global health networks. Novartis Pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, and J. Craig Venter Institute in USA already started to develop vaccines without acknowleging its initial discovering authority---China CDC center, but collaborated with US CDC center. Even worse, some researchers in Japan will put similar finding ahead of their journal publication. Seems fake copying happens everywhere... Salute to our talented Chinese scientists who altruistically disclose such information to the public and global action could be taken rapidly against the disease. Good thing is this also attracted public media's attention, including Nature Generics.
