Franklin gets carried away with his birthday plans and offers to take all of his friends to a spectacular party at Tamarack Point. Mom and Dad insist on something less extravagant. Not wanting to disappoint his friends, Franklin endeavors to create something equally as fun in his own neighborhood.

21B. Franklin's Nickname

Everyone loves the nickname Franklin thought up for Bear. Everyone except for Bear. When Franklin is given a nickname he isn't fond of, he begins to understand that good-spirited kidding has its place, but feelings can be hurt when it's taken too far.

22A. Franklin And Otter's Visit

Otter is coming to visit her old neighborhood and Franklin can't wait to resume the great friendship they once shared. But when Otter arrives, the two friends become aware of how some things have changed since she moved away.

22B. Franklin's Collection

Mr. Owl invites his students to bring a collection to school for show and tell. Franklin has trouble deciding what he wants to collect and with time running out, he becomes concerned that he will be the only one in class without something interesting to share.

The incentive of winning a pen temps Franklin to use unfair tactics during a spelling test. Franklin soon learns that there is no satisfaction in winning unless you are going to play fair and square.

Franklin finds a duckling at the pond and gets more than he bargained for when he decides to be its adoptive parent. The outlook for a carefree summer does not bode well as Franklin discovers how much work a little duck can be.

One night while stargazing with his Dad, Franklin encounters a neighbor he's never seen before. His name is Bat and he's so fascinating that Franklin wants to be just like him. Franklin becomes discouraged when he discovers the lifestyle of his new nocturnal friend is vastly different from his own.

Bear is looking after Beaver's pet hamster for the weekend, and everything is going smoothly until someone forgets to latch the cage door. With the weekend almost over, Franklin and Bear scramble to find a hamster look-alike before Beaver's return.

While on a classroom nature hike, Snail accepts a helping hand from his good friend Franklin. When Franklin becomes too helpful, Snail has to remind him that he's quite capable of rising to any challenge in his own snail way.

Beaver has a new toy top that tells fortunes, and all her friends are eager to give it a whirl. Things take a turn for the worse when Franklin's spin of the top foretells a day of bad luck.

Franklin learns the importance of perseverance when he goes on his first overnight camping trip and must tackle new challenges without the help of mom and dad.

35A. Franklin and the Puppy

Mr. and Mrs. Turtle agree to let Franklin care for a lost puppy while they endeavor to find its rightful family. The attachment Franklin has for the pup creates a moral dilemma when the real owner arrives at the Turtles' door.

After Franklin and his friends are given the opportunity to make their own maple syrup, a rivalry develops over ownership of the neighborhood trees. Things flow more smoothly, including the syrup, when everyone learns the benefits of co-operation.

When his mail-order submarine arrives, Franklin can't believe it's only made of cardboard. With the help of his best friend Bear, Franklin learns how to make the best of a bad situation.

41A. MR. FIX-IT FRANKLIN

After helping his parents fix a few simple things around the house, Franklin becomes a roving repair-turtle. He soon learns that it takes more than the right tools to be an expert; it also takes lots of experience.

41B. FRANKLIN HAS THE HICCUPS

The fun of playing chess turns to stress when Franklin has to compete against the champion from another school. With the big match fast approaching, Franklin develops a case of the hiccups that just won't go away.

42A. FRANKLIN DELIVERS

Franklin and Bear are eager to deliver newspapers while the local paperboy is away for the weekend. They soon find out that windy Saturdays are much better for flying kites than delivering papers.

42B. FRANKLIN'S SHELL TROUBLE

The only thing worse than Franklin's bad case of shell-flake, is the smelly purple ointment he has to use to make it go away. Feeling shy about his shell trouble, Franklin decides to avoid everyone, but his friends have other ideas.

There's a toy sailboat race on Saturday and Mr. Turtle convinces Franklin that his old sailboat can be repaired before the competition. Franklin gets impatient and decides to buy a new sailboat. He soon finds out that newer isn't always better.

Franklin stumbles upon a gift that was hidden for Bear's upcoming birthday. After accidentally telling Bear what it is, Franklin goes to great lengths to ensure his best friend will still have a birthday full of surprises.

44A. FRANKLIN'S FATHER

Franklin has a string of misadventures at the train station while waiting for his Mom to return from a weekend trip. When Mr. Mole happens by, Franklin hears that his father's childhood was full of mishaps too.

44B. FRANKLIN PLAYS HOCKEY

Franklin and Bear's winning streak comes to an end when an inexperienced player joins their hockey team. Not wanting to exclude anyone from the game, Franklin and Bear start a hockey school for beginners.

45A. FRANKLIN AND THE PUPPET PLAY

Preparations for a puppet play go awry when Beaver becomes a bossy director. But the show must go on and Franklin must find a way to get all friends to work together.

45B. FRANKLIN'S STOPWATCH

After Franklin discovers a stopwatch, he also discovers exactly how slow he is. With Snail's help, Franklin learns the importance of doing your personal best and that you shouldn't always compare yourself to others.
