“太阳从东边升起” ≠ from the east而要用in the east?

为什么不用from the east？

按照咱们的中文说法“从东边”=“from the east”。

但是这里in the east表示地理位置上的绝对方向，在某个方位。全世界的人看太阳都是在东方升起（极点除外）。

因此正确的说法是：

The sun rises in the east.

太阳从东边升起。

?“在东方”究竟如何表达？

A在B的范围内。

Beijing is in the east ofChina.

北京在中国的东部。

A在B的东方

A在B的范围外。

（口语中有时可将to the省去）
