1 It’s movie night! When you arrive at the theatre, tickets to the show you wanted to see are totally sold out. Your child: Takes the blame. It took them too long to get ready. They’ll be gloomy for the rest of the night.

And try to remember: When you are giving feedback to others, it is important to praise honestly. Praising effort rather than ability enhances self-esteem, motivation and performance in the long term.
