加利叶尊崇古典主义和巴洛克风格，重视所有的细节。

从世界各地搜集而来的华美大理石，数十年才堆砌完成的马赛克拼花，似烛光般摇曳的灯火，细腻精致的手绘天顶，还有点缀得恰到好处的雕塑与壁画，无一不体现出设计师的匠心。

让大家最感兴趣的不仅是这些装饰，还有歌剧院庞大的地下部分，据说那个有一个足以划船的人工湖，

正是这个神秘的地下，让法国作家盖斯顿·勒罗克斯写出《歌剧魅影》的小说，也就是著名音乐剧《The Phantom of the Opera》的原著。
