中世纪修道院的回廊

这次到修道院博物馆参观，就是最初看到修道院博物馆回廊的照片，而产生浓厚的兴趣。

 

Cloister from Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa
回廊，来自Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa修道院（法国），1130–1140年

Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa修道院在比利牛斯东北山脚下，始建于878年。寺院的回廊，建在12世纪。Cuxa的僧侣在1791年法国大革命后离去，寺院的石雕随后散去。回廊部分整体被乔治·伯纳德（George Barnard，美国雕塑家和中世纪艺术收藏家）购买并带到了美国。 

  

回廊是一个修道院的心脏，它包括周围有顶走道的一个大型开放式庭院,连接寺院的其他建筑。通常南侧附着教堂，回廊同时又是一个冥想和朗读的地方。

Tomb Effigy of Jean d'Alluye
陵墓雕像，13世纪十字军

该墓的肖像是Jean d'Alluye，十三世纪的法国骑士。他在1248年去世，安葬在他所建立的La Clarté-Dieu修道院。

这种类型的肖像，显示死者躺在他的坟墓上面，被称为gisant。骑士保持在祈祷的手，他的表情是深深的沉思。中世纪骑士基督教和军事相结合的理想和向往的虔诚，忠诚和荣誉的美德。Jean d'Alluye穿着盔甲的骑士装饰。长袖连锁恤罩披在他的脖子上。在他的身边是大三角盾和剑，他的脚下有休息的狮子。
