When I was in elementary school, I got into a major argument with a boy. I have forgotten what it was about, but I have never forgotten what I learned that day. I
61 (think) that "I" was right and "he" was wrong, but he argued that was wrong and "he" was right. The teacher decided
62 ( teach) us a very important
63 . After she brought us up to the front of the class, she placed the boy on one side of her desk and
64 (I) on the other. In the middle of her desk, there
65 (be) a large and round object. I could clearly see that it was black. But the boy said it was white ! Another argument started
66 us. The teacher told me to stand
67 the boy had been standing and told him to stand at my former place. We changed
68 (place) , and now I could see the color was "white. " It was an object with two differently
69 (color) sides. From his viewpoint it was white, but from my side it was black. Sometimes we need to look at a problem from the other person's view in order to
70 ( true)understand his or her view.

61 thought, 62 to teach 63 lesson 64 me 65 was 66 between 67 where 68 places 69.colored 70. truly 1) Oh, dear. I really must be losing my mind/ memory. 2) The amount of sleep needed dependson the age of the person and the conditions in which sleep takes place. 3). Beijing is the __capital______ of the People’s Republic ofChina. 4). China has a larger _population__, but a smaller land area thanCanada. 5). I study in a __private______ school, not in a publicschool. 5. a public school中的public和前面的but告诉我们此处要填private. The Story of Chopsticks Once there was a town called Eating Utensils(餐具). Besides people, bowls, cups, plates, and some other 61_____(eat) tools lived in the town but the people there did not know how to use the dinnerware(整套餐具) to eat their food. _62_______ , (fortunate) forks, knives, spoons, and chopsticks moved into town. They helped each other and became good friends. Everyone had a job to do, _63_____ the chopsticks couldn’t find a job that could be done by themselves because they couldn’t do _64______ alone. The other utensils began to ignore the chopsticks. Soon the chopsticks became _65________(frustrate). One day all the chopsticks gathered together to have 66___ talk. Suddenly one chopstick thought of an idea. He called all the chopsticks together again, and __67_____ (decide) that they could cooperate to pick up the food together. The idea worked. They went to the others and showed them _68___ they could do. From that day on, the others’ _69_____ (attitude) changed. They became friendly to the chopsticks. Till now chopsticks are still cooperating and working hard together. It’s very hard _70____ (work) together in pairs, but chopsticks keep on working together. Isn’t that great? 61:eating 62 Fortunately 63 but/yet 64 anything 65 frustrated 66 a 67 decided 68 what 69 attitudes 70 to work 本题中64题就是此类。
