第一次听这首歌的时候，主歌部分只是觉得so-so，但副歌部分非常惊艳，混合了蓝调、印度民谣等诸多音乐元素，尤其是反复出现的“阿门”， 使得整首歌曲忧郁、阴暗、充斥着绝望。

这首歌的MV，讲述了一段禁忌之恋，同性爱人被教徒迫害，而男主束手无策，信仰因此动摇，空留绝望和无奈。据不可靠消息称，歌手Hozier是一名直男，他只是想通过这支MV暗讽俄罗斯荒谬的反同法案。谁规定了爱情就只是发生在一男一女之间的事情呢？
