15. It is better to relax by watching a movie or reading a book than doing physical exercise.

 1. Admittedly,  watching a movie or reading a book is good way to relax.

   -- 看电影或看书很安静,不需要说话,坐在那里就休息了。

      描写一个看书放松的场景。

   -- 看一些有趣的内容,可以让人忘记疲劳,忘记烦恼,卸下压力,达到休息的目的

 

2. However, doing physical exercise is better to relax.

   -- 锻炼可以缓解紧张了一天的精神,从而让达到放松的目的。

      a. 工作学习压力大, 度过了紧张的一天, 大脑确一直在忙碌的工作坐在教室或办公室里一整        天,腰酸脖子痛.

      b. 去体育馆做一下练习或悠闲地散个30分钟的步会有助让全身肌肉得到活动,能加速疲劳肌肉的         恢复  锻炼甚至会减少你身上的压力和焦虑的感觉。

        通过放松身体,从而达到心境上的放松

      c。实验证明,适当的肌肉活动比完全安静地休息更能加快代谢产物的清除,例如,血液中乳酸的         消除在轻微活动(步行或慢跑)时比完全静止休息时要快一倍。

生活智慧。

   据研究,参加这种集体锻炼活动更容易取出疲惫、抑郁的心情会让身体感到“累,从而达到放松。

   -- 比较:看书或看电影一般都需要比较安静,或者是独处,是没有这种与人沟通的氛围的。

 

With the development of the society, people spend more and more time on busy study and work and feel stressed out easily. It is essential for people to find a way to relax themselves. Thus, it becomes a heated debate which is a better way to relax, watching a movie, reading a book or doing physical exercise? Some people hold that it is better to relax by watching a movie or reading a book than doing physical exercise. But in my opinion, I do not agree with this idea.

 

Admittedly, watching a movie or reading a book is good way to relax. watching a movie and reading a book provide people not only an easy way to relax but also an quiet environment, which is beneficial for relaxation. You do not need to go out to watch a movie or read a book. You could stay at home, sit in your favorite chair or lie on the sofa comfortably. Through this peaceful activity, you could refresh your mind and reduce stress. In addition, when people watch a movie with a fascinating plot or read a book with interesting story, they will be concentrated on the contents and forget the troubles during the day. In this way, people remove the stress and achieve the relaxation.

 

However, doing physical exercise is better to relax, as it helps people gain access to a regulation way to body and mind against the intense working and studying stress. A long time work and study will cause our brain fatigue and a long time sitting in the office or classroom for a whole day also make people feel sore and ache all over. A simple exercise, such as walking for 20 minutes, will enable the movement of each part of the body, make muscle relax and relieve the fatigue. Through the physical relaxation, people could escape from the feeling of stress and anxiety in order to achieve the peaceful state. According to the recent research, doing exercises could speed up the metabolism than staying quietly, contributing more to recovering from fatigue. In this case, watching movie and reading a book, which belong to quiet activities, do not possess this advantage to relax.

 

Moreover, some exercises, through which people could interact with others, could provide a more efficient way to relax. When people participate in these collective exercises, such as playing basketball, people gain access to social interaction with others. This communication makes people involved in the friendly atmosphere and good relaxed mood. Especially when people make use of their own happy attitude to affect others and contribute to create a harmonious surrounding, they will feel that they obtain the optimistic living wisdom. The kind of feeling will help them to enjoy the peace in mental and plays an significant role on relieving stress from daily life. According to survey in Peking City, people prefer to choose collective exercises to relax, as these exercises alter their depressed personality and help them less tired. By contrast, watching a movie and reading a book generally need people to stay alone and cannot provide access to this kind of social interaction.

 

In a word, as what we have discussed above, it is convincing to conclude that It is better to relax by doing physical exercise than watching a movie or reading a book. Although watching a movie or reading a book is good way to relax, doing physical exercise is better to relax, as it helps people gain access to a regulation way to body and mind against the intense working and studying stress. What is more important, some exercises, through which people could interact with others, could provide a more efficient way to relax. Since life depends on movement, the importance of doing exercises cannot be emphasized too much.
