许将皮革缝分别译为： skins,skins, furs.

 

但按照诗经说：皮革不同：《掌皮》云：“秋敛皮，冬敛革。”异时敛之，明其别也。许氏《说文》曰：“兽皮治去其毛曰革。”司裘》曰“大丧饰皮车”，谓革辂也。去毛得称皮，明是有毛得称革。
　　以上说法较多，总之，皮和革不同。，“羔羊之皮”“羔羊之革”“羔羊之缝”乃分別表示為“羊之帶毛之皮”“羊之脫毛之革”“羊皮或羊革縫製品或為衣或為袍”。

 

许教授又将五紽，五緎，五总译为： five braidings, five seams, five jointings

 

而“紽”“緎”“緫”則分別是生絲之三個不同等級的數量單位. 緎：（yu域）古代量词。丝二十缕为緎. 

 

而王译本 分别翻译成 lamb-skin robe ， carefully mended , sewn-up, patched 等。

 

退食自公 这句说解释 有的是退朝回家吃饭，有的是按常规大夫退朝用公膳。

 

许译： they come from court to rest.  而王直接说 go home for dinner
