Autumn Day

Lord,it is time.The Summer was too long.

Lay your shadow on the sundials now,

And through the meadows let the winds throng.

Ask the last fruits to ripen on the vine;

Give them further two more summer days,

To bring about perfection and to raise

The final sweetness in the heavy wine.

Whoever has no house now, will never have one.
Whoever is alone will stay alone,
Will wake, read, write long letters through the evening,
And wander the paths, up and down,
Restlessly, while the dry leaves are blowing.

主啊，是时候了。夏日太长。

把你的影子投在日晷上吧，

让那风儿集结穿过牧场。

请藤上最后的果实成熟吧；

再给它们两天夏日时光，

以便铸就完美并提升

葡萄酒的醇厚芳香。

此刻无家可归者，将永无所居。

此刻孤独者将继续孤苦无依，

夜不能寐，读书，通宵写着长信，

并在小路上不安地四处游荡，

而此时干枯的树叶正沙沙作响。

    里尔克 （Rainer Maria Rilke，1875年12月4日－1926年12月29日)，奥地利诗人，是一位重要的德语诗人，除了创作德语诗歌外还攥写小说、剧本以及一些杂文和法语诗歌，其书信集也是里尔克文学作品的一个重要组成部分。对19世纪末的诗歌裁体和风格以及欧洲颓废派文学都有深厚的影响。　在二十世纪的德语诗人中间，似乎还没有哪一位像本集的作者那样，童年寂寞而暗淡，一生无家可归，临终死得既痛苦又孤单，而在诗歌艺术的造诣上，却永生到放射着穿透时空的日益高远的光辉，就一些著名篇什的艺术纵深度而论，就其对心灵的撞击程度而论，真可称之为惊风雨而泣鬼神。
