微软亚洲研究院“明日之星”实习生项目

微软亚洲研究院是微软公司在美国本土之外最大的基础科研机构，被美国著名技术杂志MIT  《Technology Review》誉为“世界上最火的计算机实验室”。自1998年成立以来，启动了面向亚太区高校博士生、硕士生和优秀本科生的“明日之星”实习生项目。该项目由微软亚洲研究院和国内外高校共同执行，旨在培养高素质的计算机基础研究人才。实习生进入微软亚洲研究院后深入到每个研究小组进行为期三个月或更长时间的实习。截止至2010年10月，已有4300名来自亚太区高校的学生到微软亚洲研究院实习，平均每年有400个实习机会开放给所有的学生。

高校关系组俱乐部实习生（1人）（University Relationship Group）

主要工作职责：

·        全国30个微软技术俱乐部的日常管理和运营

·        参与大型活动的策划

·        管理俱乐部邮箱系统，并不定期组织在线活动

·        俱乐部网络平台运营、newsletter

职位要求：

·        能获得学校老师同意，在2011年3月至2011年9月在微软全职实习，大四保研或研二学生优先

·        态度好，有一定工作热情和良好的沟通能力

·        对微软技术俱乐部有深入的了解，在俱乐部担任过重要职务的同学优先

·        有较好的文字组织能力和活动策划能力，有校园活动经验者优先

语音组(2人)   (Speech Group)

Roles & Responsibilities

We require two students to perform research into the exciting area of automatically trainable speech synthesis. This technology will be applied to various human-computer communication or telecommunication systems, e.g. information inquiry, reservation and ordering, and reading emails. The student will learn many skills in speech processing, audio processing, as well as some software development.

Required Qualifications:

• good at C++ coding
• good knowledge on machine learning and pattern recognition
• good team-working and communication skill
• good at learning
• some experiences on text, speech and audio signal processing
• 6+ months full-time internship with supervisor’s permission

无线与网络组(1人)   ( Wireless and Networking)

Roles & Responsibilities

The intern will be working with researchers in Sora, project on hardware platform building, programmable logic implementation and system level testing

(http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/sora/).The intern will be required to conduct FPGA programming, simulation and implementation, PCB level debugging and experimenting for various research projects.

Required Qualifications:

·         MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation or any related technical field and possess the following skills;

·         Background in hardware (both programming logic and board level)

·         Good programming and implementation skills on FPGA

·         Experience in hardware debugging is a plus

·         Experience in high speed logic programming is a plus

·         Experience in device driver is a plus

·         Good reading, written, and oral English;

·         Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.

·         Can commit at least 3 months internship, can get your advisor’s approval.

·         Solid mathematics (especially statistics)

·         Background in machine learning (clustering, learning, classification) and natural language processing

·         Good programming skills or have related project experience;

·         Good reading, written, and oral English

·         Good communication skills and excellent teamwork

·         Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisor’s approval

·         Strong in signal and image processing

·         Solid mathematics (linear algebra, optimization, statistics)

·         Background in machine learning (clustering, learning, classification)

·         Good programming skills or have related project experience;

·         Good communication skills and excellent teamwork

搜索技术中心(1人)

Roles & Responsibilities

The User Experience (UX) Designer will be responsible for working with your colleagues in User Experience Design, Program Management, Development and Testing to create state-of-art Bing user experience on four screens (PC, mobile, tablet and TV). You will also have the opportunity to work closely with researchers from Microsoft Research Asia in exploratory projects to bring leading edge technologies to real products in operation. You must have strong core visual design skills – strong knowledge and experience in graphic design, good knowledge in user-center design (UCD) and practices, creativity, attention to detail, a proven track record of delivering design effectively, and fluent written and oral communication in English.

 

Core responsibilities:

·         Own and deliver hi-fidelity UX design work for Bing features

·         Plan, scope and prioritize UX visual design work

·         Evangelize UX practice, vision, process and thinking in STCA

·         Work closely with the Bellevue UX design team on vision, process, design reviews and UX strategy

·         Work collaboratively and efficiently with other designers, and work on multiple interrelated projects to completion on schedule.

·         Collaborate effectively with other functional groups (program management, development, user assistance, localization, marketing, etc)

Required Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent certificates in design related field including product/industrial design, fine arts, graphic design, or other related field.

·         Detail-oriented with a passion for visual perfection, quality, and strong knowledge of graphic design and styling, including color, layout, readability, typography, etc.

·         Strong working knowledge of industry software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/Flash)

·         Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS

·         Experience designing for Internet services or mobile devices is a plus

·         Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisor’s approval.
