Christmas Is Coming 教学设计

一.教学设计:

㈠教材分析:

本课教学内容为六年级第一册第四单元第二十五课《 Christmas Is  Coming!》.本课介绍了北美文化中一个十分重要的节日---  圣诞节,通过了解圣诞节的起源、传统、习俗、培养孩子们的跨文化意识,使他们在轻松、愉快的气氛中达到语言学习目的。  

㈡学生分析 :  

  本节授课对象是六年级的学生。该年龄阶段的孩子天真、活泼,喜乐好动,具有强烈的表现欲和求知欲。他们有一定的英语基础,具有自己动手搜集信息的能力,对西方文化充满着好奇和渴望,这就要求老师为他们提供一个开放而富有活力的课堂,这个开放需要融合,让英语语言的学习和实践贯穿于多个学科的活动中,借助信息技术等多种手段尽量给他们提供真实的语言情境,使他们在这个情境中把所学的知识淋漓尽致的体现出来。

㈤教学目标:

①知识目标:

能够听、说、读、写单词Christmas, Christmas tree,holiday ,lights

  识记单词special, Santa, toys, invite, bring, give

②能力目标:

能听懂关于圣诞节的故事,准确说出 “What is Christmas?”,及圣诞节特殊的理由,能够在实际的生活中灵活运用过圣诞节的一些说法,如“邀请别人,互赠礼物,唱圣诞赞歌”等,培养孩子们的听说及语言交际能力。

③情感目标:

孩子们能了解更多关于国外节日的信息,增强他们的跨文化意识,培养他们热爱祖国的思想感情。

重难点突破(整合点)

  1.利用电脑课件和实物渲染圣诞节的氛围,呈现新单词“Christmas,Christmas tree ,lights,Santa” 使孩子们对节日holiday有更进一步的认识,孩子们能通过信息技术搜集有关圣诞节的信息,如圣诞节的起源,圣诞树,圣诞卡,圣诞帽,圣诞袜,圣诞节的特殊性以及圣诞老人的故事,圣诞party,圣诞大餐,圣诞颂歌等。通过问答的形式组成知识链,因为孩子们掌握的信息比较宽泛、分散,教师把他们经过搜集讨论得出的结果进行系统归纳,在师生、生生互动中总结出本课的重点知识,通过课前预习,使孩子们在交流中轻松的掌握重点知识。  

  2.利用信息技术找出有关国外一些国家过圣诞节的信息,通过表演使圣诞节更加真实化。在教师事先布置好的环境里,假设今天就是圣诞节,我们应该如何度过。对比圣诞节和春节的过节方式有什么不同,得出结论“在圣诞节我们邀请别人,互赠礼物,唱圣诞赞歌等。在表演中用英语贯穿整个过程,使孩子们在仿真实的情境中说英语、用英语,培养他们的语言交际能力。

㈦教学流程:

1.Warming up

(课前播放歌曲Jingle Bells,渲染圣诞的节日氛围。)  

2.New Concepts  

 ① Christmas  

用日历问答“What day is it today?”, 然后把日历翻到12月25日,问 “What day is it?”,帮助学生回答 “It’s December twenty-fifth.”.紧接着介绍 “December twenty-fifth is Christmas.”.示范说Christmas,学生逐排练习。问 “When is Christmas?”帮学生回答。

T: What day is it today?

S: It is December twenty-fifth.  

T: December twenty-fifth is Christmas. 

T: Is it Christmas? (Look at the pictures, 出示春节图片,进行中西方文化对比。 

S: No, it’s Spring Festival.  

T: Do you like Spring Festival?   

S: Yes.  

T: Why?  

S: Because we can eat good food, we can stay at home….  

T: Spring Festival is in   China  . It is a Chinese holiday.(板书)    

I like Spring Festival, I like Christmas too.   Is Christmas a Chinese holiday?  

S: No.  

T: It’s a Western holiday.(板) On a holiday, people don’t work. Children don’t  go to school.( Let children try to say the sentences by themselves.)   

T: Do you know sth about Christmas?  ( Let children say sth by using their own words.)   

T: What’s Christmas? (Let children answer this question.)  

S: It’s a Western holiday. On a holiday, people don’t work. Children  don’t go  to school.   

 ②Christmas is special.  

T: Do you like Christmas? Why?  

S: Yes, I like Christmas. Because I like Christmas trees, lights, Santa and  Christmas songs.  

T: We have Christmas trees, lights, Santa. So we say  Christmas is special.  

 What’s this?(出示实物)   

It’s a Christmas tree.(强调读音)  

 What are on the Christmas tree? What are these?                                                                                                                

These are Christmas lights.  

Where are they?  

S: They are on the Christmas tree.  

T: Are they beautiful?  

S: Yes.  

 T:(出示圣诞老人实物) This is Santa.Who is he? He is a merry man in red clothes. Children say he bringstoys on Christmas.He always says:hoo,

hoo,hoo”.

③T: Next, let’s go to Jenny’s house, let’s look at what Jenny’s family do on Christmas?(让学生在好奇中学知识)出示课件。

T: We invite our family and friends to our house.(表演如何邀请别人:By telephone “Hello, please come for Christmas!”) 

We bring gifts for each other. They bring gifts for us.  

We give our family and friends gifts too. And We say “Merry Christmas!”  

We sing special songs at Christmas. Christmas songs are carols.    Listen to the famous song <Silent Night>  Do you like the song?  

S: Yes!   

3.Practice

三.第一次试讲反思:

本课是以自由谈话的形式进行教学的,通过询问What day is it?引出12月份一个十分重要的节日圣诞节。提问When is it? It’s December 25th .适时的对比今天和圣诞节两个日期,引出本课的标题Christmas Is Coming!对语法点现在进行时表示将来时进行了初步渗透。通过中西方两个节日的有效对比(春节和圣诞节),使孩子们从思想上对两个节日有了更深的认识,春节和圣诞节我们都干什么,使我们更加牢固的掌握圣诞节的一些知识。从整体上看,孩子们对圣诞节的知识掌握的很牢固,并能够和同学之间互相交流互动,用表演的方式把所学知识运用到实际生活中,达到学以致用的目的。

 这节课也是英语篇章教学的一个尝试,对于小学英语篇章教学,我采取了听音和阅读相结合的方式,第二部分先让孩子们看录象,先充分理解课文内容,然后在阅读之前安排好问题,让他们小组合作解决问题,在解决问题的过程中也就找出了本课的重点知识,教师适时加以肯定,并再次重申重难点,使孩子们牢固掌握基础知识,采用了教师教学与学生自学相结合的方式,培养了他们的探究意识和解决问题的能力。

四.第二次教学设计:

1.Warming up

T:Hello,everyone! How are you,today? Play a game. “Guess:What holiday” T:We have learned some holidays before. For example: Children’s Day. Mothers’Day. Look,what holiday ?(Show the pictuers of NewYear’s Day \ Children’s Day \ Teachers’Day \ International Worker’s Day \ Spring Festerval to the students.)设计意图:通过竞猜的形式复习了学生之前已经学过的许多节日名称,又渗透了本课的重点词汇holiday,为引出本次课所要学习的西方重要节日—— —圣诞节做好了铺垫。且在上课开始就充分调动起学生学英语的积极性,可谓一举三得。

T:Do you go to school on a holiday? Do your father and mother go to work on a holiday? C:No!

把日历翻到12月25日,问 “What is the date  today?”,帮助学生回答 “It’s December twenty-fifth.”.

 

T: What day is it today?

 

S: It is December twenty-fifth.  

 

T:December twenty-fifth is Christmas

 

T:Christmas is coming!I am excited.

 

2.New Concepts  

 

① Christmas  

T: December twenty-fifth is Christmas. 

T:Yes,It’s Christmas. (板书、领读)引导学生自己说出首字母需大写,字母“t”没有发音等注意事项。 

S: No, it’s Spring Festival.  

T: Do you like Spring Festival?   

S: Yes.  

T: Why?  

S: Because we can eat good food, we can stay at home….  

T: Spring Festival is in   China  . It is a Chinese holiday.(板书)    

I like Spring Festival, I like Christmas too.   Is Christmas a Chinese holiday?  

S: No.  

T: It’s a Western holiday.(板) On a holiday, people don’t work. Children don’t  go to school.( Let children try to say the sentences by themselves.)   

T: Do you know sth about Christmas?  ( Let children say sth by using their own words.)

五、第二次教学反思:

通过再次教授本课,感觉本节课比较成功的地方有:

 1. 本节课主要运用了创设情境教学法。在教室中布置上圣诞树、圣诞彩灯、圣诞礼物、圣诞老人等,并在上课前和结束时播放圣诞歌曲,营造出浓浓的圣诞节的气氛。让学生在真实的情境下学习和交流。把单调、机械的学习变为生动、活泼的交际性练习。本节课自始至终学生们都保持了高涨的学习热情。学生们踊跃的开口说他们所知道的英语,师生在教和学的过程中都体会到了快乐。

 2. 本节课注重渗透了东西方节日的文化差异。给学生扩展了许多文化上的常识。满足了学生的好奇心和求知欲。

 3.本节课的设计巧妙,环环相扣,达到了预期的教学目标。学生对要求掌握的四会单词掌握的比较扎实。
