Grand Canal (京杭大运河)The Grand Canal in China, also known as the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal  is the longest canal or artificial river （人工河）in the world.

 -where it is and what it looks like

 Yangcheng River is located between Lake Tai and the Yangtze River and crosses the boundary of three cities in Suzhou. It totally has a surface area of about 20 square kilometers. So specifically, it is a freshwater lake about 3 kilometers northeast of the town of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. Actually, it is a bit something called the landmark of suzhou.

 -what do people often do there(the history)

 Refer to the Yangcheng River, I can clearly remember that there was a story of the traditional Peking Opera related to it in its history.  It is called Sha Jia Bang, which was a group for land guarding consisting of some locals. And the creek is the birthplace of the legend.

-explain why you like this river

I like the river is not just for the long history, the admirable ancestors. Honestly, I am deeply charmed by one of the lake’s aquatic produces—the Chinese mitten crab – a hairy animal. The crabs migrate from   Yangcheng Lake to the Yangtze River Delta for mating in September and October. Local fishermen harvest the crabs and sell them as a delicacy in market. its yummy taste and rich protein contained, the total production of the crab reached several thousand tons each year.

 Mudanjiang River （牡丹江）

• It is a right tributary of the Sungari River.松花江的右支流
