Unit 5  What would you like?说课稿

Good afternoon ,everyone .Today I’ll talk about Part A of Unit 5, PEP Primary English, Book 3. What would you like? I’ll finish this unit in six lessons,today I am going to talk about the second lesson of the Unit . This lesson includes two parts: Let’s talk and group work.

This lesson is very important of this book.The topic is something about having dinner.It’s related to our daily life,so,master and use them frequently will be important to our futer life in learning English.

As we know that students have learned English for about one year in the primary school,they have learned some words and they can understand some simple sentences. So the main instructional aims of teaching English is to cultivate the students’ abilities of listening, speaking and the synthetic abilities of communication,co-operation and investigation.And to cultivate their good sense of English.

Teaching contents:

 The new pattern: What would you like for dinner?I’d like someplease.What for dinner?wait and see.Every thing’s ready.

Teaching aims:

1.  The aims to the knowledge

a.  To enable the students to understand and speak: “What would you like for dinner?I’d like some” Make sure that students can use these sentences in real situations.

b. To help students to finish the survey.

2.  The aims to the abilities

a.  To improve the students ability of listening and speaking .

b.  To encourage the students to communicate with the others actively.

3.  The aims to the emotion

a.  To educate the students to be polite and helpful to the others.

The key pionts:

1.   To enable the students master the new patterns.

2.   To enable the students study in groups and co-operate with the others.

3.   To arouse the students’ interest in English.

The Difficult points:

(1) To help the students ask and answer the question“What would you like for dinner?I’d like some”and make sure they can use the new pattern correctly.

(2) To finish the survey by themselves.

 

Ⅴ Teaching methods:

To cultivate the Ss’ abilities of listening,speaking,reading and writing,to increase the Ss’ability of learning English by themselves and to arouse their interest ,in this peroid,I’ll use the teaching methods below:

1.    Communication method

I’ll set up a real situation,in this way ,the students can say in pairs or in groups,they can say freely and needn’t worring about making mistakes.

2.    Task-based method

That is to say I’ll let the students understand the dialigue by answering the two questions and acting it out.To help the students get a better undersangding of the key structure.

 

Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing.

 Step 1   Warm up and preview

1.    Sing a song << What would you like?>>.

2.    Make a free talk between the T-S(What would you like ?I’d like…) ,using the words that the last class have learned.

This step is to form a better situation for rhe students by singing and speaking.They will come into the  real surrounding of English learning,And it can also review the learnt knowledge for the next step.

Step 2   Presentation

1.    Learn the new dialogue by ppt’s show

2.   Ask them to read the dialogue ,pay attention to the pronunciation.

3.   Show the sections of the places one by one,and ask them to act like them.

4.   Play a game. Divide the whole class into three groups to have a competition.

This step Proper competition can arouse thestudents’ interest in English learning.

5.   Show two questions:

a.   What would Mike like for dinner ?

    b.  What would Mike’s mother like for dinner ?

(This step is to test the students’ understanding of the dialogue.)

  

Step 3   Practise

1.   Work in pairs

2.   Work in groups

3.   Match between boys and girls

  ( This step is very important of the lesson.The students’ abilities of speaking and communication will be well trained.The match will encourage the students to communicate with the others.They can say loudly and freely .They will feel happy and successful during this part.By way of communication ,the students will understanding the meaning of the structure better and master the knowledge firmly.)

 Step 4  Consolidation

   The CAI show a survey chart ,let students finish it freely.

(This step is the consolidation of the key structure,and also is an extensive activity for the students.During this part ,the students can revivew the new knowledge by themselves or by their group ,they will be glad to use the knowledge they have learnt,and their creative power will be well trained. )

Step 5   Summery

1.  询问正餐有什么吃的:What’s for dinner?

     2.  
问对方想要什么:What would you like
 
     3.  
告诉对方你想要点什么:I’d like some .

     4. 
一切准备好了:Everything’s ready. 

(This step is to reshow the knowledge students have learned in this lesson.)

Step 6   Homework

1.       Read the dialogue in different roles(分角色朗读对话).

 

2.  完成Let’s talk部分配套练习.

(This step is necessary for the students to do some exercises after class to review the knowledge they learned.)
