 一、Language Points：

1.enthusiastic ：adj. 热心的，热情的  She is an enthusiastic admirer of the film star.

   be enthusiastic about/for sb/sth 对…….热心热情

   He is enthusiastic about singing

2. amazed/amazing：

(1) amazing/amazed ：adj.—amazing 令人惊异的；  amazed 吃惊的，惊奇的

   be amazed  at/by sth对...大为惊奇

   be amazed to do sth到...感到吃惊

   (2) amaze vt. 使吃惊         The truth amazed us.

3. nothing like:         It looks nothing like a horse.

                     The book is nothing like as difficult as I expected.

      (1) be different from… 与…完全不同       

       (2) There’s nothing like home. 比不上

          There's nothing like... 没有比...更好

      There's nothing like a good game of baseball on a saturday afternoon.

       没有比在星期六下午来一场棒球比赛更美好的了。

4. fun  ： a.   n. 趣事        a lot of fun;       make fun of 取笑

           b. 有趣的   a fun house/person;     a funny looking

           否定前移：think, believe, imagine…

        1.     I don’t think it’s a good idea.

         2.     We didn’t imagine that he would say anything.

       be bored in — be tired of   厌烦        be bored with/by sth对….厌烦

6.   introduce…to… 介绍…给…           explain…to… 向… 解释                             

         (1) Let’s introduce ourselves to each other.

          (2) I’ll explain the language points to you.

7.   embarrassed —sb feel ashamed  尴尬的

      embarrassing —cause sb to feel ashamed     令人为难的

      (1) She was embarrassed by his loud laughter.

       (2) They all felt embarrassed when they knew that.

      embarrass vt.   使困窘             Making speeches in public embarrasses me.

8. instruction n. 指示；说明（常用复数）            an instruction book 说明书

    instruct vt.   指导            instruct sb to do sth   指导某人做某事

9. attitude n.           attitude to/towards sb/sth   对…的态度

       (1) Describe your attitude to studying English.

       (2) What’s your attitude to him?     

       (3) He took a friendly/hostile attitude to us.

10. behaviour： n ，  way of treating others ; manners
        behaviour towards/to ……对……的态度/行为
        be on one’s good/best behaviour    循规蹈矩；行为检点
        put sb on his best behaviour        规劝/警告某人要规规矩矩

11. in other words = that is to say         换言之；也就是说

      (1) His hair grew gray, in other words, he is old.

      (2) We have passed college entrance examination, that is to say, we’re   college students now

12. look forward to … 盼望      pay attention to … 注意

       lead to …导致                    stick to …坚持

      (1) The old lady is looking forward to seeing her lost son.

     (2) Please pay more attention to yourpronunciation and handwriting.

     (3) Hard work leads to success.

13. improve vi. 改进，提高

       improve in    在某方面有所改进.      improve on/upon   对......作出改进

14.more than

（1）超过，多于.    I think women cry more than men.   我认为女人比男人哭得多

（2）more…. Than   比….多

（3）不知是，不仅仅           His report is more than a survey.他的报告不只是一份调查。

（4）more than happy: 很乐意   I'm more than happy to take you there in my car.
