What does it mean? It means our environment and Chinese people may suffer more pressure. We struggle to reduce pollution in China and clean up our rivers. We care about clean water, clean air, and a clean environment. China should not become the dumping ground for your coal industry. Our people need clean air, not dirty U.S. coal.
Yes, we have black eyes and black hair, but it doesn't mean we
naturally should use black coal more. We are on our way to seek
brightness with our black eyes. We will work with our partner
Waterkeeper groups and stand with you in your fight for clean air
and water. We hope every single decision we made, every single
speech we deliver, every single action we adopt today is leading to
solutions to no pollution, clean world for us and our future
generations.

Just a test. You know how we say coal in Chinese? Mei. "Mei" actually has another meaning in Chinese, that is "No". Both have the same pronunciation.
I've learned that Oregon is shutting down its coal power plant because the pollution is too great. And there are plans to export that coal to China.
What does it mean? Today, China leads the world in renewable energy
production. The Chinese government has committed to reduce 17% of
CO2 emissions per unit of GDP between 2010 and 2015. More and more
energy companies have started to move towards developing clean
energy. However, like businessmen all around the world, these
companies could change their mind if they will face a lower cost
and more profit from coal. Don't forget, a cheap supply of coal
only encourages more coal
burning. Just a test. You know how we say coal in Chinese? Mei. "Mei" actually has another meaning in Chinese, that is "No". Both have the same pronunciation.
